Sorry to hear about that. It’s ok to acknowledge your hurt and take time to heal. Spend time in the nature and let God’s nature calm you and let things go. Forgive him who left for God had a better plan for your life. You are more than just a relationship. Shine your strength, compassion and integrity to yourself, and to others. Every word Joel said here is absolute truth. Feel better for your new freedom. Love your self worth, respect your self. If others don’t see it or behave to give you due respect, don’t let such negativity into your life. You are doing really well trying to cope up. Thank goodness that lawless, low vibrational man left. If you got married to such a man or had children with him, and he shows his darkness to you, you would have suffered a lifetime. God saved you now from longer suffering. Don’t take him back. It's not just taken out of context. In at least one instance Joel says Scripture states something it doesn't. In other words, he actually misquotes it. That's serious.

My best friend of 13 years has completely rejected me. Replacing me with other friends, traveling with others like we would, and doing these meaningful things we shared with others now. Slowly stopped texting, asking me about my day, distancing from me. It hurts so deeply. I've been crying for 4 days, barley eating, truly grieving, and mourning the loss of our friendship. My biggest fear is being alone, I already feel lonely with this rejection. I keep praying 🙏 for God to bring me peace, healing, and joy again. I forgive those who hurt me, please Lord let me forgive myself.
I've been a victim of a huge rejection this month and the past months. The people I know seemed to get cold on me. And whenever I text some, they only look at my message without a reponse. It breaks me. I feel like I have become a shadow. I cried couple of times. And it is just so God still loves me despite of my sins. As I opened youtube to have some fun, this is the first video that appears. He's telling me what to do through a man. Thank you Lord and Thank you pastor Joel. 🙏😭

It really hurts most when you expect that feedback from the particular person, but all in all you never know God is trying to keep you away from listening or reading what you don't deserve,we move on.
Look up and learn to see yourself as the God of Heaven sees you. Pray and ask Him to make it so. "You are fearfully and wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:14) You are beautiful, unique, and special. Never has there, nor will there ever be anyone exactly like you. Those who don't appreciate you don't deserve your presence in their lives. Run fast and far away from them! They are proof that you belong with the exceptional, not the average! God has an amazing plan for your life. I believe that you have always felt this in your heart, but the devil has attacked you so much in your life trying to make you doubt it. BELIEVE IT!!! God is using me as confirmation to you. Strive to honor God. He will always love and accept you. He will also send people into your life (in His timing) who will respect you and uplift you. THAT'S WHAT YOU DESERVE. NEVER FORGOT THAT!!! @@naomiomoh9810 I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I lost my mother in 2016 who suffered from kidney failure. It hurt so bad but I have accepted the fact that she is in a better place, she was a believer and I know she is in no more pain. God's grace is sufficient even when your heart is broken, it gets better with time(don't get me wrong, I still miss my mother). God is closer to you than you think, Psalms 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, lean unto Him and He will comfort and give you strength. I pray that you get peace in this difficult time.

You DON’T get over it….”Let it go” is for sins committed against you and guilt over sins you have committed, grief over a lost loved one is a separate thing….so relax…let the grief run it’s course…it will naturally change character over time, so you can live with it….that’s why God promises to wipe every tear from our eyes on judgement day, as He knows grief is longlasting. Just put your faith in Him and pursue salvation, so you will ensure you are one who will have His finger wipe your tears.
Without forgiveness we are cut off from the blessings He has already prepared for us. We can be free from our transgressors by allowing God to do what only He can do - forgive the unforgivable.
We are cut off from God if we do not repent of sins and put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Have you read the Gospels?

Joel tells the story about a boy who grew up without a dad that walked out at age 5 and when the boy turned 30 the Dad decided to see him so the young man flew out to see his dad in another state he knocked on the door and some lady answered and said oh your dad changes mine he doesn't want to see you Joel said that this young man's attitude has been in a perpetual state of forgiveness and he still enjoys his life and learns to let It go as four beautiful children a wife very successful no one would ever guess that he didn't have a good childhood it's literally a choice if we can make it a habit to forgive fast not hold grudges not being vindictive our life will be prosperous and will still do amazing things unforgiveness holds us back it's so true right

This is exactly what happened to me with the person I thought cared for me. Now I'm the one trying my very best to heal.

I worked for someone for a year with no pay.. He took advantage of me because we were friends. I had bills to pay mind you it was a liquor store.. I did sales there.. I would skip church cause of the work but my almighty God gave me the courage of David I stepped down.. I let go

Sorry to hear of your struggle. Lean into God in prayer and worship. Know that he has you in the palm of his hand. Jesus intercedes for you. God has a way when you see no way. Trust him to work things out.

Unfortunately, yes. There were so many opportunities to not just telling people "to let go", but to telling them the "how" as well. We can forgive, because God forgave us first, and not just by "letting go". Inner freedom is not by our doing, but by Christ's Holy Spirit.

@@eminem101904 I thought that it was quite good because he didn't say: this and this is the Scripture but he several times used people from the Bible as explanation. I take it you didn't pick that up? I think he is exceptionally good as he has such a wonderful flow to what he shares. You can see that he lives within the Word. It is part of his lifestyle. If you want to criticize then at least listen to the whole sermon, so you do not look like a fool because you accuse him of doing something wrong, yet it was included.

My ex with 5 year relationship broke up with me 2 months ago. In January 2022 I gave up everything to move to the Netherlands where he stays. I did the language courses, proceeded with the Visa (residence permit), resigned from my job, away from my family. I invested my time, efforts and energy into this relationship. Our goal was to be married but then his priorities changed and he said not ready for a marriage. I feel my heart is shattered. Now I’m jobless, my mom is sick, everyday I pray to God so He gives me strength to get through this. I know that God removed him because I got lost in the relationship. I should love myself more and most important switch back my focus to Jesus. This too shall pass. Amen❤️

I was hurt by someone very dear to me. Now i understand that I have to let it go. I cant change people. God will see me through this. I cant change a period into a question mark.
This was perfect timing I’ve been holding on to hurt, pain and getting revenge. Truthfully I’ve been actually hurting my self cause I couldn’t let it go. I haven’t had a sober day until today when I heard this.
GOD is Good....He is trying talk to us in so many ways and forms!

Forgiveness is not just difficult, it is humanly impossible. By recognizing our need to forgive, we take the first step. By realizing that we do not have the ability to forgive in our own strength we take the next step. By asking God to fill us with HIS LOVE and HIS LIGHT that cannot help but forgive, we can be cleansed of the bitter poison in our soul. We can walk back into the light, on the perfect pathway to peace.

One of my relatives got physically harmed by a person of trust many years ago. From what I heard it was bad. I asked her how she let things go, she said for her own sanity I learned to forgive and if she didn’t it would’ve eaten away at her. Just like Joel, she said to let it go. I’m still inspired by my relative, many years later. I’m personally still learning to forgive. Joel helps everyday with his messages.
This sermon is really touching. I have been mourning my mom and my brother passed on in less than 8 months apart. I thought my life was meaningless and and every day I felt my strength draining. but following through Joel Osteen my sun is now setting. May God bless his ministry

Yes, I fully concur with you on the one. We cannot however overlook the truth which is in John 3:16... For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son (our saviour). My believe is God had forgiven us because He loves us so much and He decided to let go of all the wrongs we were doing and had done. Remember in Genesis 6:6 God regretted why He created men because of the sin of mankind, but after the flood in Genesis 8:21 he said "Never again will I curse the ground because of man...".
Also remember the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6: " Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us".
We know we have truly forgiven when we let go.
Psalm 103:13 teaches us about how God has thrown away our sin as far as the east is from the west. That's tells me He has let go of all our wrongs.
Isaiah 57:16 God promises us He will not be forever accusing. He will not slways remind us of our wrongs.

For those who are finding it hard to let go of the hurts, pains....things done by others to you; I'm telling you it is truth that you cannot move forward in your life without choosing to forgive those who've done you wrong. Do not wake up another day allowing unforgiveness to remain in your spirit. Consuming this only hinders you in your walk and growth of becoming the best version of yourself. Let God be your vindicator & deal with the foolishness of your enemies & those that have done you wrong. Trust.... God knows all & sees all. Stay encouraged and continue to lean on the Lord beautiful souls. Know that those who may be laughing now at you or think they got over on you will not have the final say. Everything about this sermon is so true. I carried hurt , anger, and simply just toxic energy for certain people who did me terribly wrong for years. I have FINALLY let it go. God has shown me in many ways that he’s been my vindicator. I thank him every single day for all the blessings he has bestowed on me. I believe we go through things so we turn to him. We get tested. I’m grateful for all of it 💜
