    Is a non-offset style circle hook preferred for the circle hook rigging method? I assume offset would create an asymmetric swimming action. For tarpon fishing. Thanks.

    I live near the mouth of the Merrimack, and a lot of marshy areas, would these lures be a good pick for the marshes? Just want to make sure im using the right baits for the right areas, my topwaters have been doing well, and Ive never tried to rig a rubber Eel before, or have before just incorrectly, trying to expand my horizons!

    What weightless hook size do you recommend for the 10" Hogy Original?

      The 10/0 Classic X-Strong or 10/0 Barbarian both fit perfectly.

    What size do you recommend for landlocked Stripers? I live in Fresno, California & i fish the San Luis Reservoir in Merced county for 15lb plus Stripers.

      Felix, for topwater presentations the 7" would be a great fit for normal use, if there is large forage around the 10" would really get noticed!

      Hogy Lures , Thank you. The lake also has lots of 25-30lbs Stripers but are a bit more harder to catch. 1-15lb Stripers are a more common catch. Thank you, appreciate your response.🎣😎🎣

    you should make the eyes alittle bigger to accommodate the use of TA clips for the swim bait hooks. No brand is doing that.

    If you are beach casting from shore, id go weedless just to help stop the screw ripping out.

    Any advice for the Chesapeake this time of year?

      Right now is primarily upper bay, Susquehanna River area. Unweighted 10inch and 14inch Originals fished over the shallow grass flats are a great option for those big 30lb - 50lb fish.

      Hogy Lures thanks! do you think the Severn River or Potomac rivers will hold fish?

    • @HogyLures
      @HogyLures  6 лет назад

      I couldn't tell you from personal experience on those areas. I have fished the upper bay and Sesquahana River for bass before.
