      So far as I can tell.....they are just too fanboyish. They feel threatened by anything being as good or better because then it means that the thing they love (JBL speakers) is not as special as they believe it to be. So Sony "have to be" lesser or inferior regardless of anything.

    Yeah, I have two questions:
    Would it be possible to operate for years in and out connected in pairs as main speakers, which however could be anytime taken with to operate from battery? Is there a built in intelligent charging feature?
    And this bring me to the second question: are the batteries easy to replace?
    These looks solid anough to purchase, but these features could lend some longevity to the otherwise solid build.
    Thanks!

    • @HammoTechReviews
      @HammoTechReviews  7 месяцев назад

      They don't mention any intelligent charging here. I think plugging it in to listen got a day or so would be fine but over longer periods it may damage the battery. It also unfortunately doesn't support replacements.

    Is it better than XB23 or similar to XB 33 ?

    • @HammoTechReviews
      @HammoTechReviews  7 месяцев назад

      It's miles ahead of the XB23 and even the XB33. They shouldn't even be considered a comparison tbh. The XB23 is in the same range and the new Sony field 1 but definitely not the 7.
      The closest comparison to another Sony speaker would be the XG500, but the field 7 is better than that even.

      @HammoTechReviews  6 месяцев назад

      @@prithvi9727 Seems to be getting more common for these big brands to not actually tell us the RMS output any more, maybe because it's slightly less than its competitor (JBL Flip 6) and they don't want people to just look at that and then buy the JBL.
      The Mic was quite good actually, you can accept/end calls using the pause button and the Mic was good enough, although I only tested in indoors.

      @@HammoTechReviewsThanks - having a good mic is definitely handy. (rant 🗣️) >> Not providing RMS watts of a speaker is akin to not informing a car buyer about engine cc .. it's core. BUT I guess Sony won't bother till a law gets enacted ;) Appreciate it, cheers!

    • @prithvi9727
      @prithvi9727 6 месяцев назад

      @@HammoTechReviews After much web searching, I could find the RMS mentioned as such on the Sony Cyprus website: "RMS rated power: 30 W, Woofer RMS power: 20 W, Tweeter RMS power: 10 W" .. but no mention of BT version 5.3 on this site .. go figure!!! 30W RMS, it is & that's actually going off the rail if one considers a 'portable' speaker .. so if it's too much of a good thing then that's hidden as well ;) I am therefore guessing there'll be an actual 'mini' portable one out with 2.5 or 5W RMS from the non-ULT normal legacy stable. Let's see. Good day!

    • @stargazerxdd
      @stargazerxdd 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Subwooferrrr its like the anker had objectively superior sound… the bass goes much deeper and the mids are well separated from the treble. The jbl has some peak at 3-5khz which mids and treble mushed up completely. The bass is very boomy and bleeds into the mids. And the vocals lack the natural warmth bcoz there is hole or too little response from 200 - 700 hz.

      That's a good question. The frequency range is still much better on this but the volume and bass will be very similar if not slightly less than the charge 5.
      I think I would still take this at the moment just due to the massive improvement in sound quality, but it would be a close match

    Returned JBL flip 6. It's horrible on high volume, all the quality fades. Big no no. My Sony srs-xb12 keeps everything intact and better on full volume. I know flip is still better but I'm talking about the main point. Poor engineering nowadays. Why would anybody enjoy 10-15watts to get all the qualities instead of 20-30 as mentioned.
