I can't understand why there're 20 dislikes, this video perfectly solved my problem. If you've watched this video, that means you searched 'O/D off' as keyword or similar and this video is the solution. Also, the narration is obviously from a non-English speaker, but the words are very clear and easy to understand for everybody, that is enough. So I would say thank you!

Honestly my o/d is flashing but it has absolutly nothing to do with my shifter my od off is flashing due to shift solenoid D being stuck on so maybe so many dislikes because this is not the only reason your o/d off light is flashing

Pushing the o/d button does NOT solve the problem that's why he is getting the dislikes.

Don't knw about other brands but nissan motors has specified to use o/d only if you can drive at a continuous speed and in traffic congestions they've advised to keep o/d off .

Overdrive light is flashing or blinking, just like signal light for left turn or right turn, or hazard light or four way light. This indicates the car has TRANSMISSION SOLENOID problem, & one of the gear 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or more than that problem, & will need repair up to $2000.00.

O/D light FLASHING is a sign of bigger trouble than a button pushed. Get it into a qualified shop and find out what is causing the light to flash. Have them hook it up to a computer and find out what the real problem is. Probably something major.

I have my Lexus SC300 in the shop for the flashing O/D (overdrive light) and the problem was transmission solenoid. Repair will be $600-$700.

Flashing means blinking on and off. The light in this video is on, but it is not flashing. Flashing can indicate a serious transmission malfunction, but often it just needs a new $20 speed sensor on the rear differential that is very easy to replace.

Attlas _ the dislikes are because the light isn't flashing. If your o/d light is flashing it means something might be wrong with your transmission.

U should only press that O/D button while your speed is 60kmph+ otherwise It'll hurt your gearbox. its totally ok to lit up the O/D OFF on your dashboard.

I have a nissan sentra 2014 and it shows o/d off but then I would press that button and it wouldn't turn off I would put it on park and then it comes off but also when I drive again it goes back to o/d off wit out me pressing the button. I hope its not my transmission I hope its a electrical problem

Wow This was common sense. When the light flashes and isnt capable of being turned off by pushing this button it means sell your vehicle cause Ford Made a Slush Box Transmission and your going to be walking. Its like they say 90% of Fords are still on the road, so very true cause the other 10% were lucky to make it home.

if overdrive is off your car can still go 100mph,u just won't get as good fuel mileage.od is just a 4th gear.
