It was interesting to listen to the conversation of the train crew and the work crew. That conversation was I believe is instead of written train orders. Thanks for the videos and the narration.
They are very safety conscious and always communicate with each other before making any moves. The scanner talk is a favorite of mine and lets me know what is happening as well as it has saved me hours of waiting!
Great video as always. Thank you. The combinations of the trains and locations that you pick, plus the little tide bits that you give us make for a great video. Thank you for all your efforts.
Hi Nancy. Nice wrap-up of the colors. We've been blessed with a pretty nice fall. Dry for the most part. I remember some years when it rained every day. Happy Halloween. Thank you for getting out there and bringing the U P to the Internet. I follow a guy in North Manitoba The King of Obsolete (from ice road truckers) and he's got snow sticking for the last week. So, it's coming. Thank you again. ben/ michigan
Well it sure was windy when you were out just watching the grasses in the marsh bending. Luckily those grasses still have that golden tint so the pictures came out real nice. That was a nice comparison shot of the new bridge and all the old pilings left over from the old bridge. This past week you should have had the yellow Cargill covered Hopper come north again and possibly another blue covered Hopper. Also there may be a large amount of tie cars depending what made the connections but one group was 15 and the other was about a dozen. And speaking of ties the line west to Pembine hosted one of those five section Herzog of Canada scrap tie trains. Even in the rain it really stood out
Hey Nancy , I sure liked all the color up there on your last video. The color is mostly gone down here now also ! I haven't looked at your channel for awhile, I've been quite busy making my own . I have an old pair of Santa Fe Warbonnet's working the Wever Turn thru Keokuk & recently BNSF sent a Santa Fe Bluebonnet to replace one of the 3 engines normally dispatched to Keokuk for local switching . I think BNSF puts their oldest pieces of junk out to pasture and fade away where I live.
Thank you for capturing the L'Anse Local returning south with a train of empty cars, Nancy. This was the first time that I remembered you taking us to Champion, Michigan. (Posted on 1 November 2024 at 1613 CDT.)
