Hello there again Seri! Brendon Geyatahi again! I was able to find some of my old research notes stached away at my house which, honestly, is a bit of a mess and instead of cleaning up I go out exploring.....*sigh*, bad habits die hard. Anyway, I found some more research notes on the various growth stages of the Turtwig family, starting off with, of course, Turtwig in their early stages. Turtwig, like I said before, fill in small cracks in their shells with mud by rolling around inside of it. Although, when the shell is damaged beyond repair, it often just breaks off the shell and attempts to grow a new one. Surprisingly, the way they do this is to consume large amounts of soil and nutrients and they somehow grow the shell that way. Good signs of when a Turtwig are healthy include that if the outer surface of the shell is moist. So the shell could be connected to the nervous system and when the Turtwig is healthy, it releases moisture similar to sweat on the shell to help plants actually grow on its back. These plants are more apparent in the later stages, starting with the Grotle. Grotle, the second growth stage of the Turtwig family, usually develops around the teenage years and grows a larger shell that covers the entire upper body, exchanging some speed for a higher protection from predators. This shell actually consists of a more hardened soil than the softer version of its early stages. Although, there are certain parts kept soft to allow plants to grow on the Grotle's back. Maybe during the growth stages it develops a soft shell layer for plants to grow and an outer harder layer to protect them? Another sign of it wanting to protect plants is its ability to find water sources. In areas where little water is on the surface, Grotle often sniff the ground where water is underneath and they dig towards it with their front legs and beak. They do not stop digging until water springs from the hole and creates a lake, allowing more plants and Pokemon to help survive there in the future. This also helps unearth more mud or sand to fill in the cracks gotten from battle. I have not seen any cases where the shell is damaged beyond repair so I am not sure what they do to counter that. Anyway, these Grotle often protect the lake and encourage other plants to rapidly grow there in a matter of one or two months! Afterwards they often bury themselves a small hole to sleep in and cover more of their bodies in dirt. There they grow into a Torterra. Torterra, the third and final growth stage of the Turtwig family, often grow large rock protrusions from the shell and encourage a tree to grow on its back. From this, they create a small mobile habitat on their backs that allow plants and Pokemon a safe haven from predators. The Torterra gets another mean of defense and help in various situations, like finding food, and the Pokemon get some protection and a place to stay for a period of time. From there they often return to the lake they created and allow the Pokemon to drop off and create a home in or near the lake. They then head out finding plants or Pokemon to help grow by the lake and repeats this process, creating a natural sanctuary for Pokemon. When on their travels if they find a Torterra of the opposite gender, they both examine which sanctuary is larger as a courting ritual and both Torterra help the Pokemon from the smaller sanctuary move to the larger one. There they create a large open den, mate, and lay about 4-5 eggs. From there when the Turtwig grow up to preteen ages, they are often encouraged to go out and get stronger to create sanctuaries of their own. Occasionally, the Turtwig stay nearby and basically create expansions to the sanctuary, creating large communities or herds of Torterra in one huge sanctuary, eventually forming into several of the certain forestry biomes we see today. Torterra are amazing helpful creatures and I love them to death ^.^! I'll keep looking for some more of my travel and research notes in the meantime! My god this place is dusty XD. Anyways, I would really like to help out at the safari zone here and maybe I could bring along some Turtwig for you to own? If you can clear out an area for a Grotle or Turtwig to call home, they'll do the rest! As long as the area is not dry or too rocky they should have no problem finding water! Hey, they also even dig into hills to create waterfalls as well so don't worry if the base of the area doesn't have an underground lake. Oh, they'll find a way! Anyway, good luck on your travels! the pokemon you saw was a skarmory a steel-flying type :) steel types aren't afatd by poison and normal isn't afted by ghost just a tip also some facks abowt skarmory it weight is 111.3 lbs and has a height of 5'07 and is mostly fond in johto they are nicknamed the armor bird and are weak to fire,electric and rock also even though skarmory's body is covered in iron armor, it can fly at over 180 mph. holpe it help :) (frostfire)

im with a pokemon researcher team who studies altaria -a majestic cloud winged pokemon. so far we found that to get away from predators like ariados and flying enemies like staraptor they will camouflage themselves in the clouds. and they eat bug types bye pecking at them.these creatures will always have their babies above ground and if the air is still they will have them on clouds!also a pair of altaria is called a cloud about 3-9 are a fluff and 10+ are called a storm! please make a habitat with at least 1 altaria and make them/him/her a above ground exhibit! me and my group would be so happy! (p.s these pokemon are being hurt alot in the wild.some pokemon are color blind and think the wing of altaria are cotton candy.)

To use the potions you have to take out your pokemon and right click on the pokemon with the potion
