A gtx 1660 super still handling 240 fps in every game on medium-high settings. The only reason anyone would consider buying anything newer then the 2060 is if you're streaming and recording in 4k quality.
@TvRF I had both 1660, 2060 and 3060. the jump from 1050ti to a 2060 is MASSIVE, the jump from 2060>3060 is noticeable, but if you just want to game at decent looking video settings a 2070 is all you need. good luck brother
@TvRF unless your buying a 6700 non xt, a750 , a770, 3060 there is no point in paying for more. These cards will age well with the huge vrams plus the upscaling, all can play 4k 30 fps high settings. Edit: have had a 3090 ti and 6900 xt. yes they are double the fps but nearly 4x the price.... Its not worth it. Glad to get rid of them before the sucker pump and dump.

This proves to me that I'll never waste money on a 3050 but I'd consider getting a 2060. RTX isn't that big of a deal in most games and it won't play a role in my purchasing decisions. UPDATE: At the time of this posting I had a GTX 1660Ti and was happy with its performance. I have since obtained an RTX 2060 Dell card and am impressed with the performance gain in game. This is about as far as my Optiplex can go so the next progression will have to wait until I get a newer PC. I'M CHEAP!

But 3050 has DLSS, RT, and native Nvidia Broadcast (I, who home office, have to say that NB is pretty dope). Not to mention that 8GB will help significantly if you want VR. We still can talk about temps and power usage, but I believe that now you've already understood why 3050 is relevant. not even q3 think next year, the 1660 can handle anything 1080p you only need something better for 4k or playing ultra settings, and if you go that rout then the 6800 will more then suffice those needs
So if you were thinking of getting a new 3050, a used 2060 might be a better deal, or 1660ti if you don't care about raytracing or upscaling. Not included in this video, but also worth considering, is the GTX 1070, which is in the same performance class as the 1660 ti, and should be even cheaper.
Forget Raytracing unless you are gonna buy a 2080Ti or 3070Ti. Anything less and you will be switching it off all the time to keep fps up making it a more of a gimmick than a useful feature.

If you undervolt only 50 mv in core and 50 mhz in freq, you can down 10-15° easy, also the factory mode in speed fan is really bad, you can make it better just increasing a little the fan speed and thats it, u have -15 degrees. I have 6600, 5500xt, 1660ti and 3060ti, all of them with a little undervolt and a little change in fan settings, and u make the gpu -15 degrees average and without lossing performance, sometimes u only loose 3-4 fps, but is worth it. I hope u understand what i said, im from argentina, trying to make better my english to some day escaped from my corruption goberment
RTX 2060 if you have enough money to buy good coolers for it and are ready to pay more bills due to wattage use. If you want economize a little then 1660 ti since the difference is not very noticable. Also, if you are interested on playing with Ray Tracing, you should buy RTX 2060 too. For a normal average user I would say that it's almost the same.

It barely beats it even if it's 8% and also the 2060 is more expensive in other countries than the US the rtx 3050. For example, the rtx 3050 is 250 dollars where I live. The rtx 2060 is at minimum 300 dollars.

Rtx 2060 pretty cheap right now in my country it cost around RM 900-1000 while 1660 cost around RM700-900 just add a few dollars and you can get 2060...
I bought 1660TI for RM1300.. if only i can wait a bit before the price drop, i would snatch 3060TI for sure..
