Additional deployment is incredibly valuable for elite spec and should be an instant pick on any round you are not borrowing on. Getting one as early as you did is practically guaranteed victory for elite spec.
I really appreciate your content, thanks for the detailed explanations. I have been stuck in early Platinum at ~1250 MMR and I was struggling with 'what's next' - getting wrecked 3 our of 5 games. Your insights and me just focusing more on unit interactions (and testing strats) I am now at 3 out of 5 wins and the grind is fun again. Cheers!
Tysm for saying that :) that's why I do this! I'm glad the videos are helping and you're having a good time with Mecha again!! If you aren't having fun you can't improve. Keep playing to your strengths and what you find enjoyable (find your style). Getting sharper with your chaff units will carry you to 1500. GL on the battlefield o7
I also almost never play Elite because I think the unit cost and the increased exp from my lvl 2 chaff is hard to compensate with lvl 2 units in the early + mid game. But I love it when I get some items to slap on lvl 2 Mustangs Learned a lot from the video, thx :) Trivia knowledge, Rivella is a Swiss drink
@@r4nd0m1zer2 Protecting your chaff is so key to success. It's why I like to play it aggro. You can make more mistakes and still be okay sometimes with a forward position. Glad to hear you're learning from the vids! That is my goal :)
@@Ragin08 "Protecting your chaff is so key to success" is an interesting idea. Usually chaff is intended to protect player's carry and distract opponent's carry. My go to at low MMR (over 600 on a good day) is chaff followed by something with punch (eg. balls), followed by waves of chaff. I consider chaff to be mostly expendable - except mustangs since they can also deal some nice DPS against chaff and air like in your video. I'd probably never think of putting balls in front of chaff to protect chaff and do the exact opposite. edit: forgot to add I enjoy and find your content educational. Thanks for sharing your thought process during matches.

Ah the beastie hacker bois - worked like a charm! Just like you I don't often pick them (I think I did once and it also won the game). What do you recommend against hackers? Air seemed reasonable, but got eaten here. Maybe Phy with Range and more at the back? What's your usual go to?
There are quite a few ways to fight hackers. I tend to play fortress with barrier against the hacker since the hacker does very poorly into barriers. If I was facing hacker with mustangs I would also want some storm callers with fire maybe to burn the stangs. Maybe even coat the floor with oil if I was being pushed. You have to go into those early enough to prevent the hacker/mustangs from getting too out of control. You're right that air would also work, wraiths can be really good, but you absolutely need armor on them to distract the mustangs long enough to kill everything else. I specifically run armor on my wraith because of how strong the mustang is right now.
Curious, is a sell play worth it level 2? You could sell a steel ball and buy a level 2 and a 150 or a level on existing balls and two 150s (risking running into the scorpion). You would lose a deployment but end up with similar overall stats that are more concentrated.
@@montyalb8788 ya that's totally a play. Selling a unit and then leveling another of the same unit is good if one is not really working. Whatever you think makes your board win more efficiently is worth playing

I‘m just wondering, you are saying the Card assault Scorp lets him Shoot faster?
In my opinion its shooting slower?
Decreasing attack interval by 1.5s means it attacks 1.5s faster
Does the attack item on a hacker increase the hacking speed? [mightve been mentioned had to skip through bits]
Yes the attack item does allow hacker to hack faster
