Thank you for sharing your story of your struggles and victories. Live until you die is phrase I used for years although from a different point of view. I took care of both my parents until they died. Dad, a disabled Vet and alcoholic took his own life after a year of extreme health issues. Mom struggled with a slow disease of COPD culminating in Hospice care at home. My reference to LUYD is about not having to depend on my children to take care of me during illness, doctors, hospitals, recoveries, treatments, crisis, etc. Like the song says, the best you can hope for is to die in your sleep. I will look upon this phrase from a different perspective now. No matter the conditions, there is hope for enjoying one moment at a time.
