I just wrote a poem about how it hurts because we care so much. If I don’t care it won’t hurt as much. Being careless is unnatural for me; I’m a caring, considerate, nurturing person. So this book is right on time I suppose. I’ve been trying to adopt this unattached, unbothered and careless persona and it helps me to a certain extent. However it hurts to have to hold back my loving caring nature in order to protect myself. I feel that I shouldn’t have to do this with anyone I love.
It’s not about holding back who u are. U can still be who u are caring and all- it’s about not letting other people’s actions affect how u feel. For example if u show care for someone and they don’t reciprocate it back, don’t let that hurt u. I hope that makes sense and helps
That's not how it works. You care because it gives you pleasure thinking you are a good person by caring. You don't do it to help the other person you do it because it gives you pleasure.
I have been living like this for over a year and have become a better, stronger and more loving person. It has changed how others treat me too. I receive much more respect and kindness from others now.

This video was made for me!😍💕It’s something I’ve almost completely mastered with my son, and he is naturally a more easy going person when he feels my vibration 💕it’s something I have to work on with my mother, who just turns my buttons, and we often have a different mindset, mine being positive and uplifting, she on the other hand is constantly complaining and judging everything, And she wonders why strangers she meets have a negative vibe towards her, the universe hears her constant negative vibrations. Thank you for this video💕it’s something I’ll study and implement into my life.
Well if I told you how it really is growing up with my mother I would run out of data for the next three years. It's not just me it's everyone. Family and friends don't come around because she is so toxic. Growing up I was verbal punching bag. You want me to keep going? I'm not trying to put her down I'm telling it like it is and what it was. My grandmother use to warn is about her (her mother).
That's a great, beautiful book, coming out of people pleasing era,and caring too much ,there's some great tips in there that would help.definitly will listen to it again.
People can't stop or change their nature. Some people naturally don't care...what kind of world would we have if no one cared? Not one I would like to live in.
People persecute themselves mercisly... It's simply having enough self importance that you recognize how important your needs are. Which doesn't include trying to fix everything that moves. Caring less just means it's not beneficial for my well-being!! 🌈🌹💖

When it comes to Humans... I stopped caring long ago (I am 71 years old). But I still care a great deal for my cats!
yes 😺
Ditto!! 🐈🙏👍
Love your cats!
agreed!! me too!
cats are all that is important
This is a great mindset to adapt. That way, people are unable to hurt you in life. It's great, but it's also not good to be completely coldhearted.
Coldhearted wow!!
Most things I worry about never happen anyway
I definately need to adopt this mindset. I care too much and its doing me no favours.
So do I
I also have that same problem, but what is the real true answer on how to stop caring what others say.

Do you believe this is a characteristic of women, mostly? (I want to know)
Prioritize yourself. No one is more important. Love everyone in a calm, mature way. Listen to this book. Check out stoicism.

Wonderful! Love your story.
My mother is the same way, she sees nothing wrong in what she does, but when we confront her about it she plays the victim role
