Celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary, Scheana and husband Brock are struggling to connect as they leave the honeymoon stage and settle into their life with a toddler. Scheana works on new music as a way to express herself. She finds herself straddling the lines in the sand within the group as she navigates her relationships with her longtime friends, and feuding exes, Ariana and Tom.
In the aftermath of a scandal that changed his romantic relationships, dynamics within the group and the success of his businesses, Sandoval is working on bettering himself. My heart actually really hurt for Katie when they were trying for a baby and the doctor to him to lay off drinking, weed and hot bath… only for him to go home and take a HOT BATH! This goes back to what Lala was really upset about in season finale- Ariana hid all of the problems in her relationship with and walked away with a fan base that she may not of had if she shared her problems. I think it's cool that Katie has stood by Ariana. However, it's no secret that since this group was first introduced to us on VPR, Katie has never been a fan of Tom Sandoval (nor he of her), like ever. They more or less just tolerated each other for Schwartz's sake (and eventually for Ariana's sake as she and Katie became friends). Now that Katie and Schwartz are divorced, that's no longer something that's necessary. That's likely why it was much, much easier for her to abide by Ariana's "no mutual friends" boundary. I think it's likely, in one on one conversations between Katie and Lala, Katie probably did express frustrations and/or resentments that she was feeling about Ariana and their partnership in the sandwich shop. With that said, I understand Lala's frustration. While it may have been uncomfortable for Katie to get into all of what she was feeling to other castmates, particularly to Ariana - on camera, Katie doing so would have been authentic and real. We've seen Katie never hold back, season after season....castmate after castmate, expressing her issues with people so I can understand why Lala feels that Katie neglecting to do so with Ariana in season 11 comes off as there potentially being other motives for her holding back.

@@juanitaheieck8316 absolutely not. I was disappointed when Katie and Schwartz split. I think he (Schwartz) never set boundaries with Sandoval. He prioritized the wrong partner ( his business partner vs his wife). It was wrong and he now has to live with the fallout of his choice(s). Sickest thing about that is I have zero doubt that Sandoval liked and enjoyed it all. He had to have been aware of what was unraveling between his best friend, Schwartz and Katie. I'm sure their bar played a huge roll in Katie's decision too and immediately after the "Scandoval" , the business was quickly going down. I highly doubt that Sandoval ever even considered how his poor choices and deceitful behavior would affect those closest to him - like Schwartz, who sacrificed in all other important areas of his life for that business. I would be furious if my BFF did that and I would without question distance myself from that "friend" immediately.
