Haus Labs was the first foundation that I found a perfect, undetectable match for my skin tone. AND my skin feels better after I use it. It really does improve my skin. I’m fifty five, normal to dry-ish skin.
I've read the ingredients in that foundation. If you have normal to dry skin, that stuff is good. Lots of natural extracts and herbals in it. If I wasn't greasier than a slab of bbq, I'd be wearing that foundation too.

The application and the finish of that foundation is really quite impressive and with the other tips you've given for oily skin, this has lasted the best of all foundations I've tried. Never sleep on L'oreal foundations! I will use pro glow and it just melts throughout the day and looks even better. I am 35, (but a hard 35 like ungodly work hours, stress, pollution from diesel engines, dehydrated diabetc skin lol) and people in my new town thought i was like 25 when i went out to the bar with this foundation on. I love how natural, skinlike and buildable it is. It plays nice if you build your contour into your base, even with other foundations. Its gorgous with any primer or without primer. plays nice with face oils, moisturizers, concealers, anything. My fav combo is using glow recipe niacinamide dew drops to prime or my random reduce redness primer from smashbox that is about 78,000 years old xD but I just saw that they're discontinuing it so i am buying as much as I can :(
Sounds like I need to check this foundation out! Is it scented? I can deal with a faint scent that goes away once dried, but really scented face products give me a headache.

I am so glad you like Haus Labs. This foundation is so good. I have gotten the best shade match from this product. The neutral is seriously a true neutral. ❤
I'm an old lady who's always loved playing with makeup! I stopped wearing it for a very long time because my favorite foundation that made my skin look flawless, looked caked on top of my skin! It was hideous! The foundation was Revlon Age Defying Foundation. I was looking up something on RUclips and a video came on about makeup! I checked it out and started watching tutorials about the right stuff for mature skin and skin prepping. After a couple fails, I found iT Cosmetics CC+ Illuminating Foundation and it's allowed me to love playing with makeup again 💜💜💜
I like IT cosmetics, bit encourage you to remember that foundation is only one product and there are so many other types of makeup you can play with, even if you don't like the foundation. Eyeshadow is my favorite go to type of makeup. And if I'm just rushed I might only apply a light lipstick or even just gloss. 😊
The Jones Road is my holy grail. Since I turned about 40 absolutely no bases sit on my skin, no matter how much I hydrate or prime. Patchy, dry, sitting in my wrinkles..... until this baby came into my life. Funny how different we all are but I'd given up hope of ever finding a base to work... ex beauty blogger and foundation was my life!
Same, no matter how well I moisturize, a few minutes after applying foundation, I'm flaky all over. I haven't found a foundation that worked for me in about 10 years. The Jones Road WTF and Miracle Balm are a game changer for me. I just used it on a business trip to France and it survived the constant switch between the convention venue and outside as well as the train and plane rides.
So glad it wasn’t just me that had issue to Jones Road foundation. The finish on me was chalky & it felt heavy & dry on my skin. It didn’t help that it smelled like Noxema cream. However, Jones Road was very kind and gave me a refund & I didn’t have to return the product which saved me a trip to the past office. Given their good customer service I will try their other products. ☺️
I've tried many foundations...I am 57 with oily t zone and redness. For me my favorites are barepro from bare minerals and Bobbi Brown skin...the Jones road products are so greasy and honorable mention for Laura Geller baked balance and brighten it's sooooo good. If this helps anyone I would be so happy! Love you Robert!
You know what foundation I miss? Max Factor’s Pancake. Seriously. I loooooooooved that stuff, so much. I have yet to find anything that is even remotely a dupe for it.
I got the Tir Tir foundation after your sponsored video. I will admit that I struggled with it a bit at first. BUT once I watched your Insta reel with tips for applying it, it’s been great ever since! Thank you Robert!
I picked up one of the Jungsaemool cushions while in South Korea and I now swear by it, Ive never had a foundation work so well for me on every part of my face, even my nose! Thank you for recommending it!
I really appreciated that Lisa Eldridge did samples of her foundation when it first launched. I wish other brands would do this, especially the expensive ones. I have the Haus Labs foundation but it's just a bit too yellow for me, even though it's supposed to be a neutral shade.
The worst problem I have had in my 54 years is finding a foundation that works for green skin - not "yellow" which makes me look like grim death or "pink" which makes me look like I'm about to expire from heat exhaustion. Finding a good neutral is SO hard. Nars has a good colour range for neutrals!
I've just got back from Cyprus and every night I used your routine from a couple months ago for make up for hot weather. Including the Missha bb cream. My makeup has never looked better.... thank you for the tips x
I used to use True Match but i found it oxidized really badly and i looked like a carrot after a cpl hours. I switched to Revlon Colorstay and still use it to this day. I had to start using the normal/dry formulation because my skin changed (thanks menopause) but the staying power is just as incredible.
!!! Love love the glossier stretch foundation! ❤ I don’t have perfect skin either, I have acne scarring and texture, stretch is the only foundation I’ve tried that hydrates these dry patch areas but also has a lovely skin-like finish on me 😢❤
And you are exactly why he says to listen to multiple reviews! I’m glad it works for you! The foundation that works the WORST for me…is Fenty. And I hate saying it, and I’ll buy other things, but that foundation was a hard no !
L’Oreal has really good foundations! My favorites are the True Match Lumi and True Match Nude Tinted Serum, but I also have the Infallible 24-Hour Freshwear and the regular True Match and love those, too. I have the translucent Danessa Myricks balm and I believe it’s best used as a primer. I don’t think it’s really intended to be a foundation.

I love the Roamnd Bare Water Cushion for summer! Thanks to James, it's amazing! For winter, I use the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I have combination skin.
I switched to True Match serum foundation a few years ago. Though I look young for my age and have great skin, regular foundations no longer work for me. This one looks natural and seamless. (I'm in my 50s.) I'm also a cool neutral with muted, rosy skin but I'm not extremely pale. Loreal is one of the few companies (either high-end or drug store) that offers a match for me.
I have been in love with the new mac radiance foundation. I was so excited when they added a new addition to their foundations, and its my now go to. Perfect on my dry skin, and it wears crazy long
@@TheRonnieajI was so annoyed when I tried that overhyped mess it was a mess and I wish I never wasted my money on it. Never again will I buy from her brand. It takes one time to sell me a crappy product before I’m done with a brand/company.
So as a dry and aging skinned person in a very dry climate, the Kosas is the best thing I’ve tried in a long time! Makes me dewy, doesn’t settle into my wrinkles, has sheer coverage that looks very natural on me.
Was pleasantly surprised by the Sculpted by Aimee mention! I haven't tried the foundation yet, but I've been wanting to because I love the concealer so much. Now it's definitely on my list
I always only ever used expensive high end foundations (a total make up snob!! 🙈). On your recommendation tried the L’Oréal True match and it was amazing!!! Only foundation I will use now!!! Perfect colour match and the finish is beautiful! ❤
I love my Missha BB cream. And I cannot rave enough about their Glow Skin Balm. I know not everyone is into the dewy look, but it definitely keeps that dewy shine all day.
My favorite foundations currently are the TirTir (both the red one and the white one) and the new Dior stick foundation. Love them both so much! Also love the Dior contour/bronzer stick as well. ❤
Love that I'm seeing Sculpted by Aimee mentioned on here. I use her Second Skin as my every day one, along with the cream blush and bronzer. Also the under eye colour corrector is magic for me. Fenty Pro Filt'r matte is probably my favourite longwear foundation, I'm so oily but this is amazing.
First thank you for your intro words- regarding these products didn’t happen to work for me, and recommending that people check out other reviews before deciding. Also your descriptions on why you didn’t like them are very helpful. Foundations are always the hardest item for me to shop for. I have oily skin like yourself, but also live in an area that is extremely humid. I’ve already tried Tir Tir, which is my go to. However, I’m definitely going to consider trying the Romand (especially since it’s re-fillable) and that last one you mentioned b/c I need backups. Agree with you regarding Danessa M’s yummy balm- I really wanted to love it, but it just didn’t work for me.
I also love the TirTir cushion foundation, bought it after your recommendation and watching the video where you showed us how to apply it properly. I know powder foundations are not really popular, but I do also like Laura Geller Balance and Brighten in porcelain shade, it works really well for my skin tone, feels comfortable, and now I switched to applying it with one of those cushion puffs rather than a brush, it doesn’t look dusty. 💜💜💜
I love almost all of the ones you’ve mentioned. I am not familiar with DM’s Or the last one but living in Florida I would hunk I must check it out. Thank you Robert. Love your new shirt. ♥️☮️🖤
As an oily skinned woman who hates heavy feeling makeup, my go-to since 2016 has been the Covergirl Trueblend Matte Made foundation. It’s comfortable and I set it with a little bit of coty airspun translucent setting powder, and the elf power grip dewy setting spray (which I surprisingly love) or the Milani Make it last. I recently found the perfect pore powder by the Korean brand The Saem and I use that for touchups and that is a holy grail for oily skin, I kid you not.
I love Yensa's foundations. She has one with or without SPF. The serum silk concealer is the best I've ever tried. I'm 50+ with dry/combo skin. A little goes a long way, too.
I love the Lisa Eldridge foundation. It’s absolutely my go to foundation when I want to look my best. I haven’t tried her skin tint yet, but I really want to.
Robert, you look stunning even though you are swollen! I hope you guys are having a blast at Disney world. Lisa Eldridge and TiR TiR have been absolutely outstanding for me. ❤❤❤
My all time favorite foundation is the teint idole ultra wear from lancome. I am 46 old, have combination skin and tried really loads of foundations from drugstore till high end. Also lke the one from house labs. But since a make-up artist used the lancome ultra wear on me and it looked incredible the whole day, this one‘s my go to when it comes to make-up. P.S. The picture on my RUclips profile is without any filter after the make-up artist session. P.S.P.S. Sorry for my bad english. I‘m from germany und usually don‘t have the need to talk in english since school in 1994. 😂
So glad you’re saying this about the KVD foundation. I am a greasy girlie, so I purchased it on a whim at Sephora because it was marketed as a serum foundation for oily skin. The texture is out of wet chalk 🙂↔️
I actually had really good luck with the DM balm. It's the first thing I've tried from her brand. What are your thoughts on the Yummy Skin? I want to try that one next. 😊
Swollen face?!?! That’s when you turn to 5 minute crafts, grab your banana peel, coffee grounds, kiwi, and aloe and BOOM 💥 You’re fixed! 😂

Lol your thumbnails always crack me up. Eyelids on point. ✅️ Slightly profiled. ✅️ Mouth parted. ✅️ 😂💖
robert!!!!!!! i LOOOVE LOVE THE LOOK TODAY, it suits you sooo much🥺💗💗
I switched to True Match serum foundation a few years ago.
Robert's videos??? Wow need these always and forever!
I have been in love with the new mac radiance foundation. I was so excited when they added a new addition to their foundations, and its my now go to. Perfect on my dry skin, and it wears crazy long
I threw out my Danessa Myrrick Blurring whatever. I tried it twice and it was awful for me. I kept the spoon, though
Same. Her blurring balm and the Fenty foundation just absolutely did not work on me 😭
tried so hard to make it work too 😢
@@TheRonnieajI was so annoyed when I tried that overhyped mess it was a mess and I wish I never wasted my money on it. Never again will I buy from her brand. It takes one time to sell me a crappy product before I’m done with a brand/company.
Same here!
My favorite is Estee Lauder Double Wear. My noise is still an oil well at 56.
I am 50 and my entire face so greasy and has been for decades. Double Wear is the only one that works for my skin.
@jenw9463 Same for me. I just picked up the Oil Sucker primer by One Size. I am going to try it tomorrow.
So as a dry and aging skinned person in a very dry climate, the Kosas is the best thing I’ve tried in a long time! Makes me dewy, doesn’t settle into my wrinkles, has sheer coverage that looks very natural on me.
New Robert shirt unlocked
as someone with dry and dehydrated skin, i appreciate a heads up on products that are drying even for your skin type.
Was pleasantly surprised by the Sculpted by Aimee mention! I haven't tried the foundation yet, but I've been wanting to because I love the concealer so much. Now it's definitely on my list
You just saved me so much money.. because I was almost about to purchase 2 of these. We have similar skin types so I always trust you.
needed this so bad! glad i’m early today. always excited to see you and your twin’s videos pop up on my feed. luv u xx
I love the Jones Road foundation. It really works on my 51 year old skin. I have had comments while wearing it
You might like their Miracle Balm.
love love love u robert! have a great vacation!! 💜
I LOVE the Lisa Eldridge skin tint!
I just love watching you. And I love your makeup. Please do tell what purple that it? Have big fun on your vacation and enjoy❤
My favorite foundations currently are the TirTir (both the red one and the white one) and the new Dior stick foundation. Love them both so much! Also love the Dior contour/bronzer stick as well. ❤
You look great as always!
Robert, you look stunning! I can't see any swelling!
I love the Danessa Myricks blurring balm. Taking it on vacation with me along with Haus Labs!! My oily skin loves it!
I love your content you’re so much fun to hang out with xxx
What gloss are you wearing? Your lips are so pretty! 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for the list. I totally understand your reasoning. ❤
❤ love this video ❤ my aging skin really needs great foundation
I love Yensa's foundations. She has one with or without SPF. The serum silk concealer is the best I've ever tried. I'm 50+ with dry/combo skin. A little goes a long way, too.
That one highlights every pore on me in the most unflattering way possible. 50+ here too.
I love sculpted by Aimee! Her foundations are really nice.
I'm missing the days when oil free was a hyped product feature for skin care and complexion.
Me with my oily t zone hearing glass skin is in 😮
My dead dry skin suffered through the matte oil free mid 2010s. It’s your turn now. Don’t worry it’ll be switched again in a couple of years.
@@littleflick K beauty solving it for both of us is the win we deserve for trying.
