Using the brush to make the paint look like waves is really effective. Only arty suggestion I have about waves is maybe mixing a blue and a green together (not sure of the ratio), and perhaps adding a little water to the paint. Even though my star sign is leo I have alot of traits that are cancer. I love water (and fish). I have always loved mermaids. My RUclips recommendation is Courtney Mermaid. Her videos are interesting, and relaxing to watch when she is swimming.
For water you could use mixed media? Maybe add some coloured tissue paper? Or white tissue paper on blue might look watery? Just for future experiments. You could always test it on a page not in the book, to make sure you're happy with it.
Beautiful pages, Beverley! I love watching you create! BTW I know that foam pads are good for making paper appear 3d on the page, and I can also recommend Bob Ross' tutorials for learning how to paint reflections: he shows you how to brush 'down' in the water to create smears and then 'across' to make a smooth reflection. Hope that helps xx
