    we take IFF systems for granted in todays planes but back then you really had to try hard to not shoot down allies

      Air Force... look at the uniform. Further, the Marine Corp only flew missions in South Vietnam; the Corps never went North.

      Also, in the Navy, two bars is a lieutenant, Army/AF two bars is a captain. in the video the instructor keeps referring to the student as a captain.
