  • We found these images and discovered that we had not shared them before! At the end of 2016 we started developing the Scoozy mobility scooter. In 2017, after several prototypes, we made the first model with hoods on it. We received pre-orders and closed the first investment round. The start of a new company with a small team with big ambitions!

The big wheels are good for challenges of rugged terrain. Smaller wheels of 10 to 12 inches would be ideal for urban terrain. Front wheels should be slightly smaller than the back wheels to give it a snazzy look. Good design is of paramount importance for a unique profile and be a cut above others.

Thank you for your comment! I get your point regarding the small wheels in the front for design. We chose large wheels in the front to make it easier to climb obstacles. So in our case Form follows Function. From experience I can also tell there are major differences in urban environments. From smooth bike lanes in Holland to high curbs with little ramps in Brussels and hilly villages in Portugal with rough paved roads. So even in some urban areas large wheels might be more convenient. But as you can see in this video it’s a trade off with turning radius and size and what you personally like in design.
