Just this video has given me a glimpse of the depth of your playing experience. Somewhat daunting at 60 & only 2 years playing, but I'm very grateful for you imparting some knowledge. Such is the essence of folk music, I think. Thanks Eli💕
There's only one way to end Pike County Breakdown, 1 crooked measure + 6 measure tag lick, yeah jam buster every time. My favorite is a tie between C Long Ending #3 and #4, a real nice variation on a farewell blues ending! :-D
Such a great video! I’ll be referencing this one for a long time. I never noticed the pattern of vocal tunes and instrumentals having different length endings either. Glad to know that now!
Thanks for another great video! You’re a great resource to have- makes getting reacquainted with my banjo sooo much easier! I will definitely be using G ending# 13 thanks again
Another great video Eli! I've been playing for over 45 years and a vast majority of my endings, especially vocal songs, are the same,so this video is extremely helpful for this old dog! I was wondering if you would tell us what type of camera you're using because the audio and video are very good.
Nice job, as always! Having just started working on banjo in November, I like all of these but I will probably work on the Long Ending #7 first. I like the mix of melodic thrown in.
I think Long G Ending #11 (Foggy Mountain Chimes ending) is missing an eighth note on the fifth string after the 9+11 bend. Love this collection nonetheless.
Two stand out to me: C Ending #6 and Long G Ending #11. Is Patreon your main site for posting tabs and videos? (if it is I'll be joining soon as I really like the style of your videos/lessons)...
My favorite ending is the one before it all starts. You use it as background music when you change screens. And oddly enough it didn't make the list. I was hoping it was there.
All your videos are great I love what you do. In the long C endings it’s a toss up between 2 and 3 for me. Great job
And 4
Thank you!
Congratulations, you’re this week’s String Giveaway winner! Send me a message by email, or on instagram or facebook so we can get you some strings!
Another great instructional video. Thanks for sharing.
The vocal ending #7 in C and D is my favorite, but I like all of the options that you've presented here. Thanks much for posting this!
Thank you!

My favorite ending is the enduring "shave and a hair-cut, two bits".
Such a great video! I’ll be referencing this one for a long time. I never noticed the pattern of vocal tunes and instrumentals having different length endings either. Glad to know that now!
Happy to help! And there's even more endings than these!
Thanks Eli!
I know what I'll be working on this week.
Thanks Paul!
Long ending in D #2 will be put in use for sure! Sounding great in whiskey before breakfast... thanks Eli!
Thanks Erik, good idea!
Absolutely, my favourite is Long G ending # 11.
Great topic, Eli!
A very helpful video! I've definitely gotten bored with the handful of endings that I typically use.

Thanks Cleve! I’m using a Canon M50 with a Sigma 16mm lens, and an Azden mg250 shotgun mic
Long G ending #7. This melodic G ending is the one that jumped out at me. Thanks!

My fav is the Long G Ending number 12, because.....well, that's what Earl did.
If it’s good enough for Earl, it’s good enough for me!

Glad to hear it!
Two stand out to me: C Ending #6 and Long G Ending #11. Is Patreon your main site for posting tabs and videos? (if it is I'll be joining soon as I really like the style of your videos/lessons)...
