This trip goes eastbound on Business US 30. Prior to the completion of the Coatesville-Downingtown US 30 bypass in the early 1960s what is now Business US 30 was US 30. Coatesville struggled for many years following the decline of Lukens Steel. In recent years there has been a redevelopment effort which has seen some success and things have improved. Since 2000 Coatesville has gained population after having declined in population for much of the second half of the 20th Century.
@@thundercookie738 Yeah. I moved to Virginia to become a professional Firefighter. I am from the West End. Coatesville was still a close knit blue collar union town in the early 90s when I was a kid, but once Lukens sold out and most of the steel jobs left the town went to hell.
@@giancarlofelicianocastaned9316 dude coatesville really does suck. The schools are terrible, it’s not a safe place either. I used to live there for part of my life and I can tell you, it’s a fucking hell hole. If you plan to move in Pennsylvania don’t move here
@@WailingGecko2 when you leave the inner part and start to go up towards 10th 11th ave... up those hills. Basically the outskirts, there is some nice, beautiful areas. Nice houses too but not near midway and marianos lol
