- In This video we chat about a few bike parks within 2 hours of Morzine.
If you're a Morzine regular then it might be worth mixing in a couple of day trips during your stay!
We all know the growing popularity of Morzine bike park is creating some hefty queues during peak season. The bike parks we talk about might be a way to get some respite and quiet trails during your holiday!
It's also worth mentioning that 2.5hrs from Morzine and the Portes D' Soleil lies the Tarentaise Valley which is home to a cluster of 'low key' bike parks which don't see half the traffic Morzine does.

Like always interesting 👊🏻
Glad you think so! Thanks
@@MtbTrailHub it’s nothing changed Jamie still love two wheels , even more every year. Waiting for summer 🤘🏻
If the weather sucks in Morzine. It’s worth a drive through the Mt Blanc tunnel to check out Pila in Italy where the weather is invariably better and the crowds are almost non-existent.
That is a brilliant shout! It's dust bowl central over there with some brilliant trails!
Nice riding mate :) Morzine is EPIC
Thanks, Yeah It's an absolute blast!
@@MtbTrailHub 🤘
There's tons of trails that don't see much traffic in the area. If you're handy with a GPS / Map and do some research there are many routes that give you up to 2000m of descending in one go! The Swiss Valais is Sunnier and has more vertical drop then the muddy French side!
Yeah I can imagine, I bet there is some incredible back country lines to be had! Morzine is just so easily accessible which makes it a prime mtb dream destination. Only draw back to that is everyone goes there.
I read Morgan is shut this summer due to a lift refurbishment.
Yeah I heard this today, PDS won’t be the same this year without it.
Long term positive though
@@MtbTrailHub my favourite location to ride there. Not been since 2019 then I hear this news. Have to try some of the other locations you mentioned instead.
@@markcosens1 The lift is being replaced by a modern gondola so it will be back with a bang in 2024
@@markcosens1 Yeah it’s a shame, especially given last few years popularity and overall busyness of the PDS. Morgins is a good spot to escape it all.
Maybe consider joining us over in the Tarentaise region! You’ll spend longer catching your breath than the time spent in a queue. Trails aren’t too shabby either 😜
Switzerland is much quieter. Go and do the national then there's loads there.
Yeah Swiss side is a dream! Just takes a while to get there….. not so bad if staying in Chatel though mind ….
i am going 2 les gets!!!!! 5 august
can anyone recommend a samoens guide/van uplift? cheers
Steve at MCF Les Gets bike school was brilliant. Mountain spirit run shuttles from Samoens.
We Started our day in Les Gets and dropped over the back into Samoens. Unfortunately the lifts were closed due to weather but there is an option to ride the afternoon in Samoens and then get a shuttle back to the top of Les Gets.
I'd highly recommend!
Enjoy!
