I'm 34 and grew up with most of these games. But a 10+ hour stream of playing 10 of them at once, is just wild lol I was exhausted just watching you. Thanks for pushing through and posting on YT.
I watched this on Twitch afterwards, but I’m glad it’s here on the VODs channel. Even though I wasn’t able to watch all of the random shuffler this year, please know I was there in spirit giving you encouragement and comfort through out, especially with that Waldo game. A shame we didn’t get Hydlyde on this one, still I understand holding it off for another day. Great long stream, my dude.
Congrats to Jerd for finishing up! I definitely agree that if this is done again next year some curating needs to happen to the games selection. Whether a trusted friend or mods or someone needs to go through them at least a little before they are green-lit to ensure they aren’t a nightmare in disguise. That will help with establishing clear cut goals as to what is considered “complete.” Then it could hopefully stop any of the cheating/save stating/moving goalposts/randomly giving up of games when said game is bullshit. Thanks again as always Jerd, you certainly put in a lot of effort. Happy birthday one last time!
I enjoyed watching you play Mega Man X2 the most of these. It's a game I never got into (despite loving X as much as most Megaman fans) and it's just fun to watch someone knowledgeable breeze straight through it. It helps that the music, gfx, and gameplay still hold up *so* well.
Where's Waldo was definitely the funniest (I can't believe you turned Castle of Illusion down to the lowest difficulty but were determined to beat Waldo on Hard), Star Fox was by far the most impressive playthrough. I loved Star Fox 64, but had never seen the original played all the way through.
I know it would be a really long edit but It would be hilarious to watch the unshuffled games from this playthrough, so you would see his sudden jumps back into each game then level out, then jump back in
I made it! I'm so glad I had a vacation to enjoy this. This is the first retro shuffler I watched and I enjoyed it. Favorite game to see you play was obviously Waldo just to see your reactions. Least favorite? Probably Mortal Kombat. That looked painful to play and I certainly wouldn't want to play it. The next time you do one of these, I think you should put an LJN game in the shuffler. I think it would be funny to see a game from the rainbow of death in the mix.
I think I'm just about a year or two older than you Jerd so you're like the perfect streamer for me I think. Stuff like Dougdoug is funny but waaay too chaotic for me to keep up. This shuffler was just chaotic enough ;) Your Aladdin impressions and Blades of Steel stuff was lots of fun for me. I feel the pain of self-imposed rules... ya gotta let some of that go. Stop expecting the hardest difficulty to be, well, fair or a nice experience. Fuck Waldo, though. Love ya my guy, time to watch the first shuffler!
Waldo would've been awesome as a standalone but I felt your pain all the way. Having races in the middle was awesome and the mickey games sucks really bad
I watched the first VOD but oof this one I had to skip chunks of with Jerd just doing Waldo and being absolutely bad at sonic over and over again. Still love this concept and Jerd and I'm gonna go watch past years VODs!
Honestly I think I'd rather get a cavity filled at the dentist than play through half of this line-up. edit: mickey and sonic are actually going to give me an aneurysm
You asked, so I'll answer. Sonic Advance was probably my least favorite. Never was a huge fan of sonic games and the last few levels seemed like no fun and it was somewhat boring seeing the same final boss gauntlet at the end many times. Favorite was F Zero I think. Always enjoyed the game and your skill was evident. Also liked seeing Blades of Steel and I actually liked the Waldo sections where you have to find him, but the Subway with the wizard was total BS
I think I'd rather just see you play ff6 and have a good time on your birthday. Like one of the fan re-translations or something. A lot of this looked like it sucked.

I agree. Might be fun to have Jared not know which ones are in there, though, if someone else is vetting them :P
This retro shuffler was a LOT of fun to watch! Thanks Jerd! Where can I find the ones from past years?

Great, now that Waldo is on the moon WE CAN LEAVE HIM THERE OR ETERNITY.
Favorite game in the shuffler mickey and the castle of illusion. Favorite one watching you play WALDO!
Wooooooo what a ride! Munched both vods 🤘🙌

I quite enjoyed that. Thank you, Jared, for making it to the end.
Thanks for the entertainment. Great shuffler.

Yay part 2 fucking where’s Waldo
To be fair on Waldo, Jared did choose to play on the highest difficulty a game he never beat or played before
Starting off strong the hatred in his eyes when waldo popped up. I have a feeling this may be another 10 arrows meme going forward
I had the Where’s Waldo cartoon vhs.
What a ride! Also pour one out for Sabrina: The Animated Series, that one never got a chance to get played.

He keeps putting Waldo on hard mode! Glutton for punishment much Jared? 🤣😂

Got to the end! My favourite will forever be SMB3! And worst game? Well, it starts with a W........
I swear the last Boss in Sonic Advance was not this hard.
"Did anyone watch the Where's Waldo? cartoon?"
Which one? The 90's one or the one from a few years ago?
I watched the first VOD but oof this one I had to skip chunks of with Jerd just doing Waldo and being absolutely bad at sonic over and over again. Still love this concept and Jerd and I'm gonna go watch past years VODs!

Will waldo become the new hydlide?
