Well i agree with u second half wasnt as good as first half. But if u now see that it was established already Ranbir is that kind of a guy whos habituated with guns when he went to his sister's college. Even his father said at that time only because i have power u are not in jail right now. He wasnt a gangster but definitely had contacts because he was shown extremely powerful. Secondly the face swapping can be a bit believable as Bobby had arranged for every major suregry and plans so he also did planned to face swap from the best surgeon possible . Ofcourse it doesnt works like that in reality and will never but now if such kind of liberty will not be given then nothing will be possible. The first half was definitely excellent and the violence and gore part which was promised was also delivered pretty well. Anyone who has seen Korean movies will be used to it but most of Indian audiences are not . Second half was definitely dragging and had many plot points directly from Kabir Singh like the Tripti scene which was directly inspired from what the actress part had in Kabir Singh. Also Kabir Singh was definitely superior in relatibility and storytelling wise was good too. Animal was always going to be at a much larger scale. Sadly as u had liked and praised KGF liked anything i cant take u seriously on whatever u said apart from the weak second half.
Face swaping is believable in Animal that's why Sandeep Reddy Vanga had already shown a body double of Anil Kapoor, so the Post-credit Scene didn't disappoint, the 1st half and the Post-credit is peak but the 2nd half fell rushed so ultimately it's a half-baked one.
I suppose it's subjective. For example, Pathan might have appealed to you despite being filled with continuity errors , random and weird action scenes and a poor direction style r writing toh dhorchi e na . Animal caters to a specific taste, and I believe it's far superior to Pathan . By the way, no hate towards SRK or you ,i love your videos.
pathan is a movie? it's shit My mom is a fan of action movies and we have a huge tv of Sony and it's great viewing experience My mom couldn't even stand through the entire movie.I could only see 25 -30 mins of the movie

Your review is right once again...after seeing your review, i was a bit upset with you because many others were saying that it is a great movie, killer movie...but today i watched it and i was absolutely dissapointed. Second half was a drag, kokhon ses hbe mone hochilo. This movie was solely made by sandeep reddy vanga to show middle finger to the critics of his previous movie , he has done that but has made a bad movie. The first half is too much fast paced . I felt the second half is far superior than first half in terms of writing and character development. People who only wants action everywhere will not like it . But I have never felt the duration. This is one of the best mainstream dark cinema. Never seen such a thing in Indian film history.

Animal ekhono dekhini, tai apnar kotha thik na bhul seta dekhei bolte parbo..But RRR e Ram Charan er opening scene ei toh o 10000 lok er modhye theke ekjon ke chhariye niye esechhilo..okhane kokhon korlo world build up? Same with Junior NTR opening scene. Jekhane baagh ta ke dhorlo..jehetu ei cinema ta hit hoye geche, oi scene gulo keno work korechhilo sei jukti gulo uthe asche as example..
Because those were parts of the world building itself. From the first very first scenes, Rajamouli established that even though the movie is set in pre independence India, but everything that you are about to witness in the next 3 hours will be completely fictional. Those scenes established the superhuman like strengths of both the characters, & that remained true throughout the entire movie

Aritro has a very 2D grasp of world building in cinema. Sometimes, fantastic things mesh superbly well with realistic narratives and raise the level of the overall film. I think of the frog rain sequence in Magnolia.

I will watch the movie though but since the time I was introduced to your channel, I feel like you have very good sensebilites for movie and generally your full moview review matches up with my expectation as well. Maybe this is what I will feel too but if this is the case then highly disappointing from Sandeep Reddy Vanga, with trailer you build up your audience and then you just throw them to drain with the full content!!!
@tuhin_chakraborty I just came back from the late night show of Animal and TBH, I liked the 2nd half unlike many. I think this movie needed that emotion that was shown in the 2nd half and Arijit’s “Satranga” was just the glue to it. Great songs and all of them depicts the portion that it is supposed to every narrative where those songs appear. Loved the songs, but having said that, what was the movie about? This is not a massy movie, in a massy movie there is a army officer/police/don that become so powerful that the audience even after the character’s atrocities believe it and root for it as he is the hero and there is a backstory or the character itself can do justice to it. But here an aeronautics guy can shoot and kill and more so kill gangsters like Abrar, Abid and so on? I mean why and how, he is not only that he is also the son of richest businessman of the country, why would a golden spoon boy do that, they have other means top get those done?!! So not done, fully flawed script, SRV have shown action just for the sake of it and there is no need to. I do understand the young age atrocities of the character but to go beyond that is totally flawed and not at all required. It’s Ranbir’s acting that pull the movie through and there is no doubt and in fact I had commented before that Ranbir is the most technically correct and superior actor of this new generation. There is no other than better than him. SRV criminally pulls a bad script on him and he just singlehandedly pulled it through along with those songs. Very poor writing, even though this film will have it’s own fan following but with promise it had shown in the trailer and the character that it had in Vijay(Ranbir) it could have been so much more, it could have been such a great phycological thriller, instead it was just a flat whim of a proud director who wanted to show what is violence on screen!!! Could have been so much more, it had the potential to eat up Dunki and become one of the cult classics but instead it was no where near to what was shown in trailer!!

TBH... I also agree with u, I have just completed watching it... 2nd part is slow I guess... That scene between tripti and Ranbir😮😮 But the blood shed in the film is way toooo more... It could have been a 2:55/3:00 hr film... 30-40% people left the theater before the ANIMAL PARK scene

He tried to bash critics and didnt properly focus on the craft itself... very sad and dissapointing because he is indeed a potent director. he should stop focusing on extanous elements and keep narturing the craft only

মানুষ ছবির স্টোরিটা ভালো ছিল। ১..সেখানে, একজন বাবা তার মেয়ের জন্য কীনা করতে পারে সেটা ধাপে ধাপে দেখানো হয় । ২,, মূল ভিলেন যাকে ভেবেছিলাম সেই শেষ পর্যন্ত অর্জুনের মেয়ের জন্য লড়াই করে নিজেই মরে যায়। ৩.. অসাধারণ ডায়ালগ আছে। বিশেষ করে যখন কাজল ক্যারেক্টর অর্জুনের দিকে তাকিয়ে বলে, " তুমি না, টাকার কাছে কখনও হারতে পারোনা? " তখন অর্জুন যেই ডায়ালগ দেয়,, মানুষ হিসেবে আমি হারতে পারি, কিন্তু বাবা হিসেবে আমি জিততে চাই "। ছবিটি অস্থির ছিল। বিশেষ করে নিজের মেয়ের চিকিৎসার জন্যও টাকার দরকার, অন্যদিকে ভিলেনের গাড়ি আটক করে টাকা হাতে এসেছিল। টাকা থানায় জমা দিতে গিয়ে, একেবারে থানার সামনে গিয়ে গাড়ি ঘুরিয়ে হসপিটালে ব্যাক করলো টাকাসহ। দৃশ্যেপট গুলো অসাধারণ ছিল।

I was waiting for this.. আমি PVR Manisquare এ গেছিলাম.. সবাই সেখানে আলাদাই enjoy করছে.. আর আমি একা একা দেখে ভাবছি কি হচ্ছে এসব?? দুটো Scene এর মধ্যে Proper progression নেই, Sync পাচ্ছিলাম না.. সবথেকে বড় ব্যাপার Protagonist এতগুলো খুন করার পরেও বিন্দু মাত্র ভয় বা রিস্ক বা পুলিশি যেকোনো ব্যাপার কিচ্ছু নেই.. Violence সত্যি খুব ভালো দেখানো, তবে তার কারণ গুলোর মধ্যে depth নেই আর execution টা এতটা সহজ ভাবে দেখানো যে সবাই এটাই ভাববে যে "Just এইভাবেই হয়ে গেলো"

Well i agree with u second half wasnt as good as first half. But if u now see that it was established already Ranbir is that kind of a guy whos habituated with guns when he went to his sister's college. Even his father said at that time only because i have power u are not in jail right now. He wasnt a gangster but definitely had contacts because he was shown extremely powerful. Secondly the face swapping can be a bit believable as Bobby had arranged for every major suregry and plans so he also did planned to face swap from the best surgeon possible . Ofcourse it doesnt works like that in reality and will never but now if such kind of liberty will not be given then nothing will be possible.
The first half was definitely excellent and the violence and gore part which was promised was also delivered pretty well. Anyone who has seen Korean movies will be used to it but most of Indian audiences are not .
Second half was definitely dragging and had many plot points directly from Kabir Singh like the Tripti scene which was directly inspired from what the actress part had in Kabir Singh.
Also Kabir Singh was definitely superior in relatibility and storytelling wise was good too. Animal was always going to be at a much larger scale.
Sadly as u had liked and praised KGF liked anything i cant take u seriously on whatever u said apart from the weak second half.

Face swaping is believable in Animal that's why Sandeep Reddy Vanga had already shown a body double of Anil Kapoor, so the Post-credit Scene didn't disappoint, the 1st half and the Post-credit is peak but the 2nd half fell rushed so ultimately it's a half-baked one.
I suppose it's subjective. For example, Pathan might have appealed to you despite being filled with continuity errors , random and weird action scenes and a poor direction style r writing toh dhorchi e na . Animal caters to a specific taste, and I believe it's far superior to Pathan . By the way, no hate towards SRK or you ,i love your videos.

The first half is too much fast paced . I felt the second half is far superior than first half in terms of writing and character development. People who only wants action everywhere will not like it . But I have never felt the duration. This is one of the best mainstream dark cinema. Never seen such a thing in Indian film history.

Same with Junior NTR opening scene. Jekhane baagh ta ke dhorlo..jehetu ei cinema ta hit hoye geche, oi scene gulo keno work korechhilo sei jukti gulo uthe asche as example..
Because those were parts of the world building itself. From the first very first scenes, Rajamouli established that even though the movie is set in pre independence India, but everything that you are about to witness in the next 3 hours will be completely fictional. Those scenes established the superhuman like strengths of both the characters, & that remained true throughout the entire movie

Aritro has a very 2D grasp of world building in cinema. Sometimes, fantastic things mesh superbly well with realistic narratives and raise the level of the overall film. I think of the frog rain sequence in Magnolia.

I will watch the movie though but since the time I was introduced to your channel, I feel like you have very good sensebilites for movie and generally your full moview review matches up with my expectation as well. Maybe this is what I will feel too but if this is the case then highly disappointing from Sandeep Reddy Vanga, with trailer you build up your audience and then you just throw them to drain with the full content!!!

@tuhin_chakraborty I just came back from the late night show of Animal and TBH, I liked the 2nd half unlike many. I think this movie needed that emotion that was shown in the 2nd half and Arijit’s “Satranga” was just the glue to it. Great songs and all of them depicts the portion that it is supposed to every narrative where those songs appear. Loved the songs, but having said that, what was the movie about? This is not a massy movie, in a massy movie there is a army officer/police/don that become so powerful that the audience even after the character’s atrocities believe it and root for it as he is the hero and there is a backstory or the character itself can do justice to it. But here an aeronautics guy can shoot and kill and more so kill gangsters like Abrar, Abid and so on? I mean why and how, he is not only that he is also the son of richest businessman of the country, why would a golden spoon boy do that, they have other means top get those done?!! So not done, fully flawed script, SRV have shown action just for the sake of it and there is no need to. I do understand the young age atrocities of the character but to go beyond that is totally flawed and not at all required. It’s Ranbir’s acting that pull the movie through and there is no doubt and in fact I had commented before that Ranbir is the most technically correct and superior actor of this new generation. There is no other than better than him. SRV criminally pulls a bad script on him and he just singlehandedly pulled it through along with those songs. Very poor writing, even though this film will have it’s own fan following but with promise it had shown in the trailer and the character that it had in Vijay(Ranbir) it could have been so much more, it could have been such a great phycological thriller, instead it was just a flat whim of a proud director who wanted to show what is violence on screen!!! Could have been so much more, it had the potential to eat up Dunki and become one of the cult classics but instead it was no where near to what was shown in trailer!!

২,, মূল ভিলেন যাকে ভেবেছিলাম সেই শেষ পর্যন্ত অর্জুনের মেয়ের জন্য লড়াই করে নিজেই মরে যায়।
৩.. অসাধারণ ডায়ালগ আছে। বিশেষ করে যখন কাজল ক্যারেক্টর অর্জুনের দিকে তাকিয়ে বলে, " তুমি না, টাকার কাছে কখনও হারতে পারোনা? " তখন অর্জুন যেই ডায়ালগ দেয়,, মানুষ হিসেবে আমি হারতে পারি, কিন্তু বাবা হিসেবে আমি জিততে চাই "।

I was waiting for this.. আমি PVR Manisquare এ গেছিলাম.. সবাই সেখানে আলাদাই enjoy করছে.. আর আমি একা একা দেখে ভাবছি কি হচ্ছে এসব?? দুটো Scene এর মধ্যে Proper progression নেই, Sync পাচ্ছিলাম না.. সবথেকে বড় ব্যাপার Protagonist এতগুলো খুন করার পরেও বিন্দু মাত্র ভয় বা রিস্ক বা পুলিশি যেকোনো ব্যাপার কিচ্ছু নেই.. Violence সত্যি খুব ভালো দেখানো, তবে তার কারণ গুলোর মধ্যে depth নেই আর execution টা এতটা সহজ ভাবে দেখানো যে সবাই এটাই ভাববে যে "Just এইভাবেই হয়ে গেলো"
