Hey Chris like you're videos nice work I'm working on this kit rt now I used Tamiya TS-10 French blue on my frame almost a exact match to the blue strips on decal sheet and yes lots of sanding and primer lol keep videos coming
Cool! But I think I will wait for the Papa Transporter. Would be nice to build an aerodyne COE again. I bet they will put out the Bandag and Hideout transporter... Basically the same kits with different decals, I think.
Nice job ! I picked this one up and you are right the papa truck will be out by dec !! And next year they will do the black one well anyways nice video can't wait to see this one done
45 productions I saw this truck and the hauler at a World of Wheels car show in Kansas City Missouri when I was a kid!!! Met Tyrone Malone and kinda shocked my buddy's dad cuz I spent more time talking to the driver of the hauler!!! Was obsessed with being a truck driver when I was a kid! Got Malone's autograph And the hauler driver's!!!!lWish I still had them!
astro van glad you like so far, it's been sitting for the momment.got several other projects going on right now, hopefully get back to it sooner or later.
Great video, have you been to our Tyrone Malone facebook fan page? This is Kenny 1989 European tour Papa truck driver. Check out my name on the model box side, Aaron Hartley and I helped AMT round 2 with the development with bringing this kit back. I think round 2 did a great job on the kit. Thanks again, Kenny
These old AMT kits are certainly a workout for modelling skills Chris lol. but it sounds like you have prior experience with this kit. I've been building an AMT Peterbilt wrecker now for 2 years ...! that thing has more flash and poor fitting parts than I've ever seen....I don't care though it's a classic
The wrecker is a classic, been awhile since I built one.the old truck kits are a challege, and I think that's why I drink more now.lol but I still enjoy building them.
You do nice work Chris. It seems like this kit is quite popular. A lot of folks have purchased one or are in the process of building one. Take good care buddy.
I have the Tyrone Malone "Bandag Bandit" kit.which was issued in the 70's. It was given to me by a friend. It is missing some parts. I have been using some of the parts on my "way" too long build of my "project FUBAR". You may have seen one of my videos about this project. Take care and enjoy building your truck.
Nice review. I am working on both the Super Boss and the Papa Truck, as that is now available. These are a bit challenging, but that adds to the satisfaction. I just found that the real trucks are about 50 miles from where I live. I spoke to the owner and he invitied me out to have a tour. I will be taking a bunch of pictures. I am too far into both of these now, but I do have a second Super Boss and I will be getting another Papa Truck to do a second try.
+45 productions AMT has always been crap even when I was younger I remember a lot of flash broken missing parts I try to stick with revell monogram kits but this will be a great piece when your done with it
