Since it's Christmas....would somebody please do a reaction video of Sissel's singing of Reger's, The Virgin's Slumber Song (Maria Wiegenlied). It's perfect. It dates from 2006 and supported by the Tabernacle orchestra and choir: ruclips.net/video/7ZE3HkikZk4/видео.html
Thank you for doing this wonderful reaction video of the Norwegian national treasure. I enjoyed watching your reactions of Sissel. She really is one of a kind. Merry Christmas!
Enjoy Christmas! Just for yourself; listen to Sissel sing ‘O Holy night’ (or actually the Norwegian and Swedish versions’O Helga natt’) - pure heaven 😊
Well in Norway we start the celebration on the 24th. Most people eat their dinner at 5 pm, when Sølvguttene (the Silver boys... all male choir) sings/carols the Holidays. For most that is truly when Xmas starts. After dinner, there are dessert and cakes and opening of the presents. Time of this depends if there are children in the house. For us Xmas day, is the Silent Day... Silent Night leads up to it. ;) Happy Holy Days to you Bob, your family, and the same for everyone reading this message. God Jul ❣ from 68 parallell North. 🌨🌨❄❄🌟🌟✨✨
Of the several Silent Nights of Sissel's on YT, the earlier ones of the young Sissel come with lush orchestration, big production and Sissel showing off the range of her voice. But here at 53 years of age, she puts all into respecting this noble song and serving it up intimately, like it's just you and her sharing a message of faith. Stripped back performance of this song sets the story up front with minimal distraction, except for the warmth and love integral to her voice. You're right: she is "a good fit" for this. Great reaction and happy Christmas to you.
That just makes me melt....sooo pretty. Her voice HAD to be the reason Franz Gruber wrote it. He knew the perfect voice would be attracted to it and would sing it how it was meant to be sung. Musical Perfection! Sissel has a clean and clear voice.
Under rated isn't even the word! She has an absolutely incredible voice... For a Soprano I'm always amazed at how low on the scale she can reach. She's haunting on that side of the scale. this is just so beautiful...
Beautiful, as expected! I personally prefer this rendition - same song, same artist. But both are wonderful. Can't go wrong with Sissel! ruclips.net/video/uK3_Kr2nLtA/видео.html
Hey Bob, Great voice, wow. You're right ,that was beautiful. Try another beautiful Christmas song???? Ave Maria sung by Marko Hietala and Floor Jansen.
Beautiful indeed, but Bob was actually right and Sissel sang the second verse in German, not Norwegian. For those who would like to read along with the lyrics in this song, see below. Happy holidays to you, to Bob, and to everyone who reads this. 🎆🎄 Sissel Kyrkjebø - Silent Night Silent night, holy night! All is calm, all is bright Round young Virgin, Mother and Child Holy Infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht! Alles schläft, einsam wacht Nur das traute hochheilige Paar. Holder Knabe im lockigen Haar, Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh! Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh! Silent night, holy night! Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from Thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace Jesus Lord, at Thy birth Jesus Lord, at Thy birth
She has performed in over 15 languages
She's as beautiful as her voice. Have a Merry Christmas Bob.

Thanks for your reaction. She’s so underrated as an artist, she’s amazing 🤩 Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴✨

.. underrated??? - in Norway she is holy🤔.
@@heidifarstadkvalheim4952 ja… hun er undervurdert som artist, hun har et vanvittig talent og burde fått mer anerkjennelse..
No, she’s very highly, and correctly, rated
Check out her “Helga Natt” Holy Night. Watch the entire concert “Northern Lights”
Hello , Bob ! How great you are when describing the splendid singer Sissel is ! Magnificent encounter , no ? Alain ( Belgium )
To me it'a not only her voice, but also her smile when she sings for God. She looks so serene and happy.
Yep no other singer smiles like she does while she's singing....
