These ladies not only have captured the essence of Deep Purple, but they are also showing an impressive style of playing!!….with an awesome (and I would add unparalleled) singer, a netly “Blackmorish” guitarist, a very accurate and tightly adjusted bassist, a keyboard player perfectly capable to emulate Jon Lord´s or Don Airey´s mastery…and a drummer that leaves everything on stage (this last was recognized by Ian Paice himself). Strange Kind of Women is simply an amazing band..., and their covers are probably the best tribute ever made to these legendary monsters of rock …

Best since DP. Stunning playing. BUT the very best of this track was Richie Blackmores Rainbow with the magnificent Roni James Dio live in '77. Keep on rockin'.
Totally agree in that Ritchie Blackmore´s Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio have rendered a fantastic and memorable performance of this classic, in 1977… and also agree on the magnificent character of Dio´s vocal style!!…but this outstanding, albeit different, female vocal interpretation, supported by so solid playing from the rest of the band, really blew my mind…!!. However, in my opinion, it would be honest to say that David Coverdale´s vocal work on “Mistreated” at California, 1974, with his powerful bluesy voice, even been it more crude and/or less elaborated that Dio´s or Alteria´s ones (we must consider the undeniable influences from Joe Cocker he had at that time…), must still be considered as an awesome and hard to beat performance, because the “crudeness” of his style was indeed very appropriate for this song…and of course, it was DP at its best who was playing it. I can perfectly enjoy listening to any of these three superb versions…but Strange Kind of Women´s one, plenty of “magic” on vocals and with such impressive, and at times “devastating” playing… gives me a particularly amazing “sensorial experience” . It´s only a matter of taste…
