Very very nice review. I have seen many Videos about this gimbal. Yours is not a marketing video like the others. It feels like a real and honest review. Thank you for that.

Further to my previous comment I now have the G6 plus and am very pleased with it. It has that 'just right' design that combines the ease of carriage and fast setup of an 'action camera' sized gimbal due to the small one piece design that doesn't have to be fitted together, and the functionality and ability to handle a camera such as the A6500 that has better video quality. I can now answer my own questions I had before getting it. Firstly, yes, the 10-18 F4 Sony APS-C lens (which I have and like) does balance well when used on the A6500. However, there is one thing to watch, and why I think it is not listed as 'compatible' by Feiyu-tech. The supplied mounting plate will just touch the back part of the lens underneath and possibly put pressure on it. I filed away a small part of the plate in this small area, it did not hurt the plate at all but ensures there is no pressure from any contact on the lens, though it was only just touching. My other Arca plates are shorter and so don't have this issue, and could be used as another way around that. I prefer the supplied plate as it has a low profile. It just stays on the camera and works well with my Arca mount on my tripod etc. Secondly, it is great that the mount is an Arca style plate..if only they all were, how simple it would be. However, there is a safety latch on the gimbal mount that will only work with the plate supplied but not the other Arca plates I have (unless a small slot could possibly be filed in the right place on the plate to match the latch). The latch can be removed, so now several cameras could be used with any Arca plate and without changing the plates, but there would be no safety latch. I like the versatility to be able use my RX100V and Sony X3000 action cam as well on this same gimbal. I dont keep a plate on the RX100V as it covers the battery door. And also because of its location I found it better to use a screw directly through the slot on the mounting area. Thirdly, the ability to control the camera wirelessly is a huge improvement over inconvenient and damage prone cables. However I was not certain about the functionality of the Sony embedded remote remote app as this has not been fully explained. What happens after gimbal and camera are switched off? Here is what I found. Once setup with the Feiyu ON app on a phone, (follow Feiyu instructions on youtube) the camera and gimbal will connect automatically again when turned back on without needing anything to be done. The feiyu phone app doesnt have to be used again. That is great. However, the sony A6500 embedded remote app starts automatically on the camera when camera is switched on again and and just needs to be turned off if not using the gimbal. When back on the gimbal, it will need to be started again, so it is wise to become familiar with this on that confusing Sony menu. After that, it will connect automatically again. I found the 'zoom' feature (digital only in my case) annoying so would recommend using only the start stop button. When the camera is switched from video to photo modes on the dial, the start/stop button now operates the shutter. So, the camera dial switches between the two modes. Operating dial and buttons on the camera is much easier with newer gimbals such as this one, as they don't react to the camera being moved around by being handled. Hopefully my comments will be helpful to anyone like myself with these questions. Thanks again for a straight forward detailed review.
Just purchased for my panasonic hc-v380. There seems to be a learning curve on the use of the gimbal but your video gave me a lot of great info!!! Thanks
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I just bought it & i use Fujifilm XT3. im not so sure about is it the right gimble for me after knowing that i will not get the most out of this since they do not include fujifilm in the app.
I am having a big problem with the knob of the 3rd axis/arm. All of a sudden it got SO TIGHT you can't manually unscrew it anymore, yet the arm and the camera-plate it carries stays loose and adjustable. I've tried with all my power and there's no way it's getting unscrewed - never experienced anything like this before with any electronics. Any idea what's causing this? I mean it feels like it's just a locked super tight screw, but the camera platform is still loose vertically and I can't balance the thing because of this... Hope I made any sense lol. I really wanted to like this gimbal but goddamn, not a decent film day done and already running into problems. Any help is appreciated if someone has experience with this!
I´ve put my EOS 200D on it.. works pretty well except the Gimbal tilts down when I try to look down a bit^^. Phone App su*ks a bit because it does not use the full potential of the Phone Sensor.. Hope they are fixing it in the future, Mate 20 Pro has such a nice Camera unfortunately the App isn´t using its full potential.
You nailed it with this review. Fun to watch and thorough. Thank you! I saw somewhere that you can even make a moving time-lapse with it, too 😎 keep it up!
Thank you! Yes, you can do motion time lapse, but sadly I ran out of time to try it. The idea is that you can set the speed of the movement in the app and then on the gimbal use a combination of button presses to set the begin and end position of the camera.
Have you tried panos? Every gimbal I have tried will not do the 3x5 pano. Just bought the Vilta M Pro, very disappointed. When the pano works it does not show the full image. I like the 3x3 and 3x5 panos. Does this one actually work?
I purchased a G6 Plus. I've completely wasted a whole weekend on the #FeiyuTech #G6Plus gimbal. I've sent multiple emails and social media messages for no response. It turns on and the motors activate but the buttons do nothing. I've tried to update the firmware but it just keeps crashing. Compete waste of money. Don't buy. #DJI for me I think. so pissed off 😡
How does the feiyutech g6 plus compare to dji osmo 3? I'm going to be shooting primarily on my iPhone, then a GoPro/action cam then to bigger cannon cameras as time goes on. Should I just get the DJI Oslo for now and get proper dedicated gimbals for the other cams as I move up to them or get the G6 that does it all at once? I must admit though, if I can chest mount the DJI Osmo 3 and have my phone mounted for recording bike rides etc, I won't need any other camera. So, can I do this with the DJI?
You should review the FeiyuTech a1000. I have one and I love it. I have no idea why so few people on youtube are talking about that. It is for sure the best (and cheapest) gimbal for mirrorles, even for small DSLR.
I use the a1000 and use it at weddings with Sony Nex-7 (50mm) and also Nikon D750 with 50mm. Both handled very well. Honestly the 45 degrees angle to see the camera screen its on of the best features
I ‘think’ it will hold it ok depending on lens. I actually put a Sony A7 III on it and it was ok, but movement was a bit restricted due to having to move it back to balance. So I would recommend it and hence didn’t mention it in the video. I’d suggest finding somewhere that will let you try it. I think it will be ok depending on lens - but please don’t take my word for it!
It will hold it with a prime like the 23mm , body weight is 383grams and you can go up to 800grams in total. Biggest drawback is the lack of connectivity, you can’t currently take advantage of the control wheel or triggering the recording from the gimbal. I am praying they will add Fuji support so I can pair it up with my xe3. Il be using my phone and GoPro for now and the xe3 as best I can until they add BT and WiFi cionectivity for Fuji
I bought it for this exact camera, and it's not fitting well. I am considering returning. I am disappointed because I wanted it for a trip this week :(. Thanks for asking and answering this question guys.
Nice little gadget. Sadly I had to return my g6 plus today due to vibration issues. Sounded similar to the issue the G4 had. Now it’s back to finding another small gimbal 😩
Photogearnews Using the panasonic LX10/15. I tried changing motor settings but no result. Got a refund at the store. But the g6 plus ticked all the boxes on what I want in a gimbal. So now I have to go back and research another one. Great review btw
I can’t confirm for certain... in theory it ‘should’, but my experience with the 16-50mm power zoom lens was that it wasn’t very responsive and not really usable. That lens will also be difficult to balance and use successfully. I’d try and give it a try somewhere, but I don’t think you’ll be impressed. It’s better with smaller fixed focal length lenses.
Works perfect! I’m a professional photographer and use the Feiyu-Tech a1000. The G6 Plus is perfect for the hard to reach shots over the pool getting close to the spillways and the higher shots around the chandelier! I recommend this to anyone weather your amateur or professional! I use all of the Feiyu-Tech products!
Thanks for a good review. We are looking for a gimbal to put a Panasonic FZ300 on . Weight according to specs would be OK but not a lot of leeway there. Just looks like gimbal could touch the back of the camera due to its height , have you any thoughts please.
Is there any way (usb connection of camera & gimball) to use zoom function with Sony A6000 with PZ 1650 on Feiyutech g6 plus without wireless conncetion? Will the wired conncetion work
just got this for my iPhone XS Max + Moment lenses cause there's pretty much no other gimbals that can handle that max payload and size of my phone. The Crane M2. That was really hard to get the phone to balance. I was hoping this would be easier but I'm also having some issues. Mostly getting the phone to not fall forward or backward. But when I turn it on, it adjusts itself to the right position. I'm just worried this isn't proper balance. Tips on balancing a phone?
Will the G6 work with a Samsung Note 9 phone? I can't tell if the phone's power port if being connected to the gimbal or not. Would appreciate your reply. Thanks in advance Rich! ;-)
If you are using RX100 in remote control mode via WIFI, you can't use picture profile, eg S-Log. Because of this RX100 remote control does not make sense for more serious purposes.
For the most part I had a Sony a6500 mounted on it with the kit lens from the a6000 and a Rode videomicro mic. I've even put a zoom lens on the a6500 and this gimbal still does really well with the weight. I was able to get really smoothing walking and panning shots with my camera on this gimbal. It also does really well with a GoPro on it thought it does look a little big for the GoPro. Also, I mention Niagara Falls because we took the boat trip close to the falls kept the camera on the gimbal and it was perfectly fine by the end of it. It was basically like a heavy rain because they take you so close to the falls that the spray is really coming down. I didn't do anything special to try and dry the gimbal afterward and, like I said, it still works perfecty fine.
Halo I like you video very good I have a question for you and everyone in group I have Samsung Galaxy camera ek-gc100 I can't danload the app for the camera please advise me thank you everyone in the group
I just got this gimbal and I haven't been as lucky. The app just doesn't work despite connecting to the gimbal so no tweaks or update is even possible...I think my unit might be defective or the app has been updated as it doesn't look like yours.
Thank you for your review. However your comment concerning the difficulty in the rotating each axis locking mechanism is somewhat understated. On the unit I received it is impossible to rotate the locking mechanism to secure each axis. The gimbal as received is totally unusable and not fit for purpose.
And I just can not configure the Vicool app for Nokia's smartphone on Android. It crashes from the application, and the video is not recorded. In the Timelapse on 05, the video is not saved anywhere and it is simply not on the phone, although I clicked on the diskette and did not click when - it also does not. Camera Sony camera (a little more than 700 grams), it really does not hold. On another Sony phone, the video is written, but saved to the internal memory of the phone. and not on cd, as I chose.
Works fine with sony nex 5-R in fact had to add weight to stop vibration. Used the Phone holder adaptor as extra weight, secured with thin cables ties. Now I will carry on watching this video to learn more thanks. Dead easy to set up.
How do you get into the face detection tracing mode? I tried it via Vicool with my G6 plus but it’s not working ? It detected the face via my iPhone 8 Plus but it’s not moving while I move out of my camera
Hi im interested in this small gimbal, but does it have dedicated pov mode like in modern gimbal so you can do roll shots without using the joysticks One more thing do you thinknit will work with a6500 + sigma 16mm. Thanks before.
When I switch to follow mode the camera drops a bit... Like in your video!... Its annoying riding on bike and switching from panning to follow the camera falls down... Any advise on it!?
Hi there, does somebody also own the Feiyu Tech G6 plus, also running on the current firmware? Mine doesn´t currently work in AF all follow mode, camera does not tilted any more, works only like HF horizontal follow. Does anybody have the same problem?
Hi. Does it have the same design and basic features of "Feiyu Tech SPG2" except the support plate?

We DO need to buy a smartphone adapter to mount the phone up on the G6 plus don't we? Do we need to buy that adapter (made by Feiyu) or will the g6 plus fit whatever the manufacturer of the adapter is? Thanks in advance.
I have many problems regarding Feiyu ON app that I downloaded to control the gimbal that i just got from Feiyu-Tech (G6 Plus). - After I connect / pair the gimbal with the Feiyu ON app through bluetooth, I cannot control (pan, tilt and roll) the gimbal from the Feiyu ON app. it just doesn't give any respond. How ever, the gimbal can be control from the joystick. - I have email and contact the services department regarding the issues with Feiyu ON app. One of the representative name Becky told me it took about 3 - 5 second for the Feiyu ON app to synchronise with the gimbal after I make changes to the gimbal setting (such as joystick setting and motor strength). But, it turns out, I have to wait roughly about 3 minutes for each changes that I made in order for the Feiyu ON app to finish synchronising with the gimbal. - I also tried to update my gimbal firmware to the latest.....but it turns out, the Feiyu ON app keep telling me to restart the gimbal because of "update failure". I did restart the gimbal, but nothing happen after that. I'm very disappointed with the Feiyu ON app, because most of the setting for the G6 Plus gimbal including connecting the camera all have to be done through the Feiyu ON app itself. Any idea how to solve these problems???? ruclips.net/video/5Mn87XL9mJ0/видео.html
G6Plus is the unique gimbal for so many equipment, and also can connect the mirrorless camera by WIFI. I took it with my when travelling, very light one.
I am using a GH4 with the 12-35 mm lens. I can hardly balance it on the G6 Plus. Switched on the gimbal with the GH4 and after a few minutes the tilt motor becomes very hot. I supposed this is the result of an unbalanced gimbal. Do you have an video on 'how to balance a GH4 on G6 Plus'?
na zalost, nije kompaktibilna preko blututa sa vecinom aparata i telefona. Vazno je napomenuti da se ne pali prije nego se namjesti uredjaj u balans, jer drobi zupcanike.
Will it fit with a Nikon D5300??? I noticed on the Sony a6500 with a width of 120mm there was no additional space between the Gimbal and the Sony. The Nikon width is approx 3mm wider at 123mm although the screwhole at the bottom is off centre to one side.
Thank you very much for this very thorough review. As i am moving towards smartphone/action cam/compact camera, having a few different gimbal for each camera is such a hassle. Luckily i hold out from buying a smartphone gimbal, now that this is available, i can use it for all my cameras! Thanks again!
In the segment on camera control, you mentioned the gimbal communicates with your smart phone via Bluetooth and your smart phone communicates with the camera via Wifi. Does that mean that you must have your smartphone with you, and have it turned on, and have the app launched, and have the smartphone screen unlocked, in order for the gimbal record button to work with the camera since the smartphone is relaying the control commands? That's kind of a show stopper if true, isn't it? Thanks!
Great review... thank you! I just got one myself, and am having an issue with the multifunction knob. It feels like it gets stuck at some points while turning it. During part of the rotation it's smooth, and then it hits a part where it has much more resistance (becomes harder to turn). In the parts of the rotation with more resistance, the responsiveness goes down. For example, if using it to control the pan, the panning becomes jumpy and less responsive. As such, it's hard to use the knob for smooth movement while recording. Does your unit also have a knob like this, or is it smooth all the way through? I wonder if I maybe got a faulty unit.
Same here. It gets slightly better if I keep my thumb far on the inner side while operating, towards the handle. Seems to be the only part which really can't hold up with the rest of the build quality. The knob is not stored stable on its inner frame, it can wobble around and thats how it blocks itself on certain positions while moving with a single thumb.
yes, mine too. Even you try very hard to rotate at the same slow speed, it doesn’t pan (or roll etc) at the constant speed. It is terrible to use the knob to try to lock the focus at the central object while you are walking in a circle. I use the joystick to pan instead at last.
Very very nice review. I have seen many Videos about this gimbal. Yours is not a marketing video like the others. It feels like a real and honest review. Thank you for that.

Do you think it will work well with a 1Kg setup? My camera will go a bit beyond 800g with some lenses. Thanks!
Wow
Would this thing be able to hold a Lumix g7? It's about 470 grams
I think its maximum weight is around 800grams
I have a nikon d5500, anyone know if this works? (Weight with lens is 760g)
I bought it last week and I look forward to handle by myself. Aha.
....just ordered mine. How do you like it?
Hi Sir, I wonder if it would work well with the new RX100M6. Since it does not have build in apps anymore
Just purchased for my panasonic hc-v380. There seems to be a learning curve on the use of the gimbal but your video gave me a lot of great info!!! Thanks

First of all, thanks for the review. Will this work for the Panasonic LUMIX G7?
Can you charge the rx100 with a usb cable using this gimbal?

Fantastic review...
Do you think sony a6500 with sigma 16mmf1.4 can use itu perfectly also with the function like record and photo?
I think the weight/balance with that combination may be pushing it
I've been using that combination for a few weeks now. The only massive change so far is the battery life, reduced in half.
WARNING; "App may not work with every camera". Translation; App will not work with Your camera".
Best review out of 20 I ‘ve watched… The on off procedure on this gamble is too complex.. Cannot use all that.
Good video! Thanks for the info, got one of these on the way.
Have you tried panos? Every gimbal I have tried will not do the 3x5 pano. Just bought the Vilta M Pro, very disappointed. When the pano works it does not show the full image. I like the 3x3 and 3x5 panos. Does this one actually work?

So the 18-105mm sony lens would probably be impossible to balance?
How can I switch from taking pictures to recording on SONY a6000? What mode on the camera should I select?

Dear, I have a new gimbal, do you know why when turning on and activating the gimbal g6 plus the camera tilts - it falls to the right side?
It was perfect review, one of the best I have ever seen.
Hallo very good video will presentation !! Put haw you change the camera of the app to different camera stok thank you
Does anyone know if this is compatible with Fuji film Xt3? Thanks in advance

Nice video. What app do you use to use the phone on top of the gimbal? is it with feiyu on app? Or is it another one? Thanks
What’s the app called again? Great review, thank you!
The app is called, "Won't connect"
Nice video ! Well explained .
I have this gimbal but I can't get the screen to switch on. Any ideas
Hi, can I do Face traking with the G6 Plus ?, Thanks
Will it fit a fuji x-t20 or is it to lage? Great video!😃

works with Sony RX100 / Sony a6300 (16-50mm or 28-70mm lens) / Sony a6500 (16-50 mm or 28-70mm lens) / Canon M10 (15-45mm lens) / Canon G3X
I bought it for this exact camera, and it's not fitting well. I am considering returning. I am disappointed because I wanted it for a trip this week :(. Thanks for asking and answering this question guys.
What attachment are you using to connect the phone onto the gimbal?
Nice little gadget. Sadly I had to return my g6 plus today due to vibration issues. Sounded similar to the issue the G4 had. Now it’s back to finding another small gimbal 😩
What camera were you using? Whenever I had any issues a quick tweak of the motor settings in the app sorted it.
Photogearnews Using the panasonic LX10/15. I tried changing motor settings but no result. Got a refund at the store. But the g6 plus ticked all the boxes on what I want in a gimbal. So now I have to go back and research another one. Great review btw
Thanks! Surprised about the LX10 as should be very similar to the RX100. Hope you find something
I have the Sony a6000 with the 18-105mm F4 G lens. I wonder if this gimbal will allow me to use OPTICAL zoom. Answer would be greatly appreciated.
It’s better with smaller fixed focal length lenses.
do you set the smooth mode once? or does it need the phone constantly?
ACADIA COPIA Same question here.
@@tijolinhosensual you only set it once. you don't need the phone constantly. it works way better
Will the G6 work with a camcorder with a side flip out viewing screen?
Does it work with bridge cameras
Nice video and Gimbal.. i need this for my vlog thanks for reviews bro
How reviews should be done!
Works perfect! I’m a professional photographer and use the Feiyu-Tech a1000. The G6 Plus is perfect for the hard to reach shots over the pool getting close to the spillways and the higher shots around the chandelier! I recommend this to anyone weather your amateur or professional! I use all of the Feiyu-Tech products!
hi,gopro 3+ black can fit it?
Thanks for a good review. We are looking for a gimbal to put a Panasonic FZ300 on . Weight according to specs would be OK but not a lot of leeway there. Just looks like gimbal could touch the back of the camera due to its height , have you any thoughts please.
Is there any way (usb connection of camera & gimball) to use zoom function with Sony A6000 with PZ 1650 on Feiyutech g6 plus without wireless conncetion? Will the wired conncetion work
Just 1 question!
Whether Canon sx50 hs camera will work with this gimbal or not?
Thanks.
just got this for my iPhone XS Max + Moment lenses cause there's pretty much no other gimbals that can handle that max payload and size of my phone.
Because of this RX100 remote control does not make sense for more serious purposes.
seems too complicated...would be great if i dont need to use my cell phone
Great value. Great looks.
thankyou
How do you get into the face detection tracing mode? I tried it via Vicool with my G6 plus but it’s not working ? It detected the face via my iPhone 8 Plus but it’s not moving while I move out of my camera
So how do I set object tracking in the Vicool app using the gimbal itself (not by tapping the iPhone screen)?
Holding the front trigger while in AF mode does not put mine in LK mode. Is there a way to set that up?
Thanks for very nice review . i have a Nikon D-500 does this gimbal works with this model or only with your Sony?.
i wish the app wold work like this. but its not working at all
Hi im interested in this small gimbal, but does it have dedicated pov mode like in modern gimbal so you can do roll shots without using the joysticks
One more thing do you thinknit will work with a6500 + sigma 16mm.
Thanks before.
When I switch to follow mode the camera drops a bit... Like in your video!... Its annoying riding on bike and switching from panning to follow the camera falls down... Any advise on it!?
can you do an inverted or underlung mode with this gimbal to take low or near ground shots?
Great review&reviewer! Informative, no crappy flashy in your face editing, to the point, thanks!
Hi there, does somebody also own the Feiyu Tech G6 plus, also running on the current firmware? Mine doesn´t currently work in AF all follow mode, camera does not tilted any more, works only like HF horizontal follow. Does anybody have the same problem?
Great review buddy really useful 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Yup, you’ll need an adapter and no, it doesn’t have to be the proprietary Feiyutech one
Does your wheel dial feel like it gets tight or grinds at times and turning? Or is it smooth at all times turning all the way?
Hi there, do you think it is compatible with my canon 100d ??
Where do i get one of those adapters for smartphone ? I have the G6 and the adapter comes with 2 little screws

I really interested in this gimbal, how is the compatibility with the canon m50?
Im really hoping that the record/stop button will work with m50
thanks for a great review and tutorial, best I've seen on youtube!
Is it true that feiyutech g6 plus is waterproof?
Great review. Very informative. They're sending me some review units, apparently.
i wish the gimbal could connect to any camera directly and not with a phone
Thanks for the video : Is this G6 avaible for PANASONIC FZ300 full compatibility ?
Thanks!
I NEED ONE FOR MY D5100 WEIGHT IS. 553.75g ?
Nope.... its not just the weight, its the balance and the D5100 will be too bulky to use sensibly...
Is it suitable for Canon eos 750d?
WHOS FRED
Hi Photogearnews is it normal if the gimbal vibrate if it is not balance or sort?
Is it okay using a a6300 with a 28-70 sony lens?
DOES THIS ROTATE - TILT - ROLL - PAN - UNLIMITED 360?

Hi, thank you for your review. I have just a question. Is it possible to lock smartphone in a vertical position for facebook live?
