    Being a scot who lived near Muirfield gold course I have been lucky to meet many golfer a over the years. Tiger is very stand of fish and quite rude with fans. He will get his ' people ' to deal with the locals like myself who are usually trying to assist him in some way and won't make eye contact with anyone. Tom is always a class act, a real gentleman.

      Tom personally removed Gary McCord from announcing at Augusta by writing a letter to the Augusta committee stating who is this man(mccord) who never won a tournament and has the audacity write that the greens at Augusta are covered w Bikini wax. This is just too much for big Tom to handle - he's a stodgy prick and also steals other players wives.

    • @emncaity
      @emncaity 6 лет назад +1

      Just dumb. He's married to a woman who used to be married to another player. He doesn't "steal other players' wives," as if this were some habit.
      And no, he didn't "personally remove" anybody from anything. He wrote a letter over something he considered vulgar. The game certainly _has_ gotten more and more vulgar over the years, at the pro level. Might've (and probably would have) been better to do it on the down-low in a personal conversation with Masters hierarchy, but it wasn't an unreasonable thing to say. A lot of people had a problem with it. Doesn't make him "stodgy," and he didn't have the power to remove anybody. He was one prominent voice among several, and the Masters brass could've chosen to do whatever they wanted to do about it.

    Tom Watson is a true class act. Right there with Nicklaus and Palmer and Player. Give me those guys anytime over someone like Woods.The "old timers" still respect golf for what it is, a gentleman's game Woods and a select few just want the money it seems at times.

    Young Tiger won no popularity contests. Allegedly a real a-hole. But on the course he has been unrivalled. Already at least the second if not the best player of all-time.

    The thing I noticed about Tiger in his recent comeback is that he seems to have found some humility. Clearly, he is one of the greatest sports figures of all time, in any form of competition. But, to echo Watson's words here - Tiger needs/needed to find a way to win with grace... and to lose with grace as well. He seems to have found it - hopefully. I'm glad to see him (Tiger) back, and playing competitively again. Now, as the old sports adage goes: Act like you've been here before. Eventually, he is going to win another tournament. When that happens, we'll see how he responds. I'm hoping for the best.

    The Tiger was in forced hibernation indefinitely . Some jubilantly thought this phenomenal athlete would never re-appear or even win a major tournament like the MASTERS . Tiger Woods has struggled to reassert his Superiority not because of the decline to his golfing skills , but because of recurring and nagging physical injuries on his back . Let's imagine where the Tiger would be today had those back injuries not occurred . No doubt he would have equalled and surpassed the current record held by the Great Jack Nicklaus .
    To those not so successful golf who are and will never reach the summit of Tiger Woods level , instead of speaking negative about him , he should be a yardstick or benchmark against which you measure your golfing abilities .
    Please don't be jealous of one of the Greatest Golfer the world has been graced with , now in humility to the KING OF GOLF and he recently achieved what was perceived as an IMPOSSIBILITY .
    The TIGER has rewritten the history books of Golf with his recent victory in Augusta Georgia by winning the Masters Title .
    We humbly SALUTE THE KING AND BOW OUR HEAD IN HUMILITY SINGING THE SONG OF PRAISE SAYING : : " HAIL THE KING , THE MASTER OF HIS CRAFT , THE ROARING TIGER AND THE MONARCH OF ALL YOU SURVEY ".
    THE TIGER HAS ROARED AND ITS BACK .

    From some of the comments on this link I do detect a heavy case of jealousy. Woods is without a doubt the greatest golfer ever. He is the only player ever to have held the 4 major titles in the course of one year. 79 tour wins, 14 majors, made 142 consecutive cuts and set other numerous records. He won majors by unheard of margins. He made shots no one had ever seen before or since. Tiger decided to experiment with his swing. and that decision along with terrible back problems permanently limited his championship form. Had Tiger not tinkered around with his game what do you think would have happened? Remember, he won 14 majors by the time he was 32. C'mon folks, lets be honest. Ya think he would have won at least one major a year before he was 38? That would translate into 20 majors, maybe more. Ok, now you can all go back to arguing about who has or does not have class.

    • @A-FrameWedge
      @A-FrameWedge 6 лет назад +2

      Art Fix Jack Nicklaus has won 18 majors how many has Tiger won? Tiger tinkered with his swing because he had trouble with his driver, has trouble keeping it in the fairway and at times hits way too far off line. Jack never played many tournaments always focused on the majors he played less than 13 tournaments for so many years. Tiger chased the money playing all over the world.

    I love Tom Watson & I'm a huge Tiger fan. The blasting Tiger gets for his on course antics pisses me off Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, John Rahm, Justin Thomas etc.
    They have all been busted using bad language on the course picked up by television & Thomas used a slur its time for everyone to shut up about Tigers bad language when other golfers are doing it. Yet media & golf legends like the great Tom Watson don't say a damn thing about others who do it only Tiger Woods that is wrong. If you want to be critical of other things Tiger has done ok but blast him & ignore others language meltdowns is hypocritical.

  • @Goynes42
    @Goynes42 13 лет назад +3

    @KiefferProductions Tom Watson was winning lots of tournaments (and lots of money) while Tiger was in diapers. The man won 9 majors and 30 other PGA tournaments. He's one of the true legends of the game, without dispute. He doesn't need Tiger's help to make a living.
    Tiger is BY NO MEANS the reason for golf. He is the reason golf is so popular right now, sure. But Tiger did not invent the game. Guys have been playing great golf for many, many, MANY years.

  • @cagoodson70
    @cagoodson70 13 лет назад +1

    @KiefferProductions As much as it is hard to believe,the world did exist before 1996 and so did golf and it will continue long after Woods is gone. Don't get me wrong,Tiger has increased the purse no doubt but Watson was living pretty comfortably before tiger was even a thought.

    These comments are mind blowing. Bunch of head asses that clearly are just angels themselves and judge people based on personal hardships but fail to understand this very game of golf was non accepting to people with different skin color. He had to be twice as good to even have half a chance at competing in the sport. He undoubtedly has proved time and time again that he was/is the most dominant golfer to ever play the game, and considered by Jack Nicklaus himself to be the greatest golfer of all time. What does that tell you?

      It's a bit easy to say that with that early generation. These guys back then were a good ol' boy's club without the same amount of scrutiny in the public eye. Especially since they did not have to deal with this drive-by media and social media. Maybe they weren't throwing clubs and cursing on tv (maybe). But you can bet that they were banging cocktail waitresses in the clubhouse and on the road. Give me a break.

Look what his management forced sponsors to do to Fuzzy. Woods was such a baby that he changed the whole tradition of ragging rabbits. What a baby!
