You must be "saved" and changed by God to stop sinning...we dont have the power on our own. Come to God as you are...then you will be changed. Ephesians 1:13 says of Jesus..." In whom you trusted "after" you heard the word of truth, the gospel of "your" salvation, in whom you then believed and were "sealed" with The Holy Spirit." (paraphrased) what is the gospel? 1 Corinthians 15:1-6 Paul says "l declare unto you the gospel v2 by which you are saved v3 ...Christ died for "our" sins, according to the scriptures; v4 and that he was buried, and that he rose again on the 3rd day according to the scriptures, v5 And that he was seen of Cephas (Peter), and then of the twelve, v6 and then seen of over 500 brethren at once." So you hear the Gospel, 'trust and believe in Jesus' as Lord and Savior and then confess...Romans 10:9 "That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." KJV. Read the word daily...start in the gospel of John. Are we changed? Ezekiel 36:26-27 "And a new heart l will give you...and a new Spirit will l put within you...and l will cause you to walk in my statutes and you shall keep my judgements and do them." Of course he missed the emphasis of suffering which was to be counted as worthy of the kingdom of God, like the KOG is heaven itself which if it is then who can be counted as worthy to be called/justified/Spirit Reborn/gift/Eph 2.8&9. No one is worthy when God calls them, if we had to be worthy first then only Jesus would be in heaven. This isnt talking about the place heaven but about the POSITION in the KOG of reign and rule with Christ,in a glorified body, as part of the bride (which is not the whole body of Christ but a part as in Adam's rib), during the Millennium. They already had heaven, they needed to be counted worthy to enter the KOG through suffering/obedience to the commands of Jesus Christ per Mt 5,6,&7. He glossed over vs 8 and 9. For those who claim OSAS this should greatly concern (polite way of saying it) you because who is pure in obedience and knowledge of God. Everlasting destruction from the presence of God, do you see. This false doctrine that everything in scripture is about Spirit Rebirth/justification/calling/past tense salvation is the leaven spoken of i n Mt 13.33 and is the great apostasy of the last days to keep people out of the KOG which is Satan's real purpose.
