- "Decision fatigue" is a real thing - and whether you're building or renovating, choosing all your fixtures and fittings can be one of the hardest and most exhausting tasks. There are literally hundreds of decisions to make and you want them all to work beautifully together. We're talking tiles, taps, baths, basins, handles, floorboards, carpet, wall linings, doors, cabinetry, appliances, lighting, skirting boards and even hinges.

I’m loving the vision. I had goosebumps looking at next week’s reveal with the curved staircase and walls. Next level imagination. To be able to order this home as a volume home build is genius. The selection process is exhausting. Without a thorough vision of what you want in every room it is easy to become overwhelmed. Decision fatigue is real. I had a plan for each room in my house for my new build and by the end of each selection process I was still “yep”, “yes that’s good”, “ok yeah, let’s go with that”. It would be a dream to have so many of the decisions made to such a wonderful look. Well done. Can’t wait for next week!!

The design is so beautiful and classic, I just don't know if I would want to have a house with the same fixtures, colors, and design of like every other person who chooses to go with this staple home. Part of the process of designing a home is individualized and tailored for each family's needs and the quirkiness of each family.
I was thinking the same thing. It is beautiful, but personally would nit want something cookie cutter. But for someone really time poor and who does not want the hassle (and perhaps has less of an interest in design), it is great.

I'm wondering whether they'd offer to switch a few things up or tweak them (color choice, finishes etc.) to personalise each indivirual house in the end. That would be the best of both worlds in my opinion.
I'm sure there will be some tailoring available - esp fittings, a little bit like car options etc.

Loving this new idea concept. Also, I have studied interior design and loved it but choosing fittings and fixtures is hard enough for my personal style let alone other peoples unique personalities. I understand how people can't comprehend all the choices involved. Also something that is common is finding it difficult for trades to support ideas come to life and having to fight for your vision to be achieved. Hoping Rawson can change that attitude 👌👌

I don’t understand the concept of “butler’s”. How do you use it in comparison with a normal kitchen? Is the main kitchen just to look at? Thank you for clarifying anyone.
I think butler’s is beneficial for people who entertain a lot. For example we can cook dishes that splatters everywhere if butler’s got a small stove, can prep lot of food without visible mess, hide dirty dishes, hide bulky kitchen items away from the eyes of your guests in a room that can be closed off when you're entertaining.

In most cases a butlers pantry is generally just a walk in pantry with a sink. Often used to store small appliances and can be used as a prep space.

Nothing beats 22m solid timber installed properly, engineered wood flooring came about because it’s cheaper nothing else, don’t buy the marketing BS..

the quality products and the style they used are not for everyone, they are choosing high quality products with quality finishes and that comes with a price tag, I too cannot afford such a house but I can still appreciate the videos. they’re not picking low end quality items for affordability purposes, their whole brand is quality
Yeah and it’s hard to believe their praise when it’s so clear they’re being paid for talking about them. This whole series is a bunch of 30 minute ads building up for the big ad - buy our house!!!

Im sure the house will be cute and very well made but it all seems like white and boring, it's a bit disappointing that there is not alot of choice , that's what I would have been looking forward. Not enough decisions to overwhelm the buyer but enough that all of the houses are not the same. Different buyers have didn't taste so I hope in the future they introduce other models or allow more choices. Great work girls, congrats.
