Finally someone who can truly teach vector works in a steady tempo with clear instructions! Had to start using this program this week and felt completely overwhelmed... yet after this video I see that it is not that scary
How do you get to that very 1st workspace ? Which type is it ? Architect, spotlight ? I can get to an a3 page, but nothing else looks similar, no top horizontal line info. No grid.
Hi. thanks for watching. I have used the Fundamentals workspace, but I have turned on the grid and rulers. The grid is a snap setting, the rulers are a Vectorworks preference.
@@archoncad thank you. I’m trailing the 2022 version & had an intro lesson from vectorworks on Saturday. Watching one of your other tutorials the snapping pallet is now on the bottom right I think instead of an actual palette. Got a bit lost there so have to watch yours again. Am finding yours more useful than reading all their university pages
Mouse choice is personal, it really depends on you. I use a standard Microsoft wireless mouse on my Mac. You mouse must have at least two buttons, a scroll wheel, and a wheel button. I would stay away from Logitech. My Macbook Air has terrible trouble with the Logitech mouse driver and I can't remove it properly. The Logitech software played havoc with my mouse wheel button and now it doesn't work properly. Some users love the multiple button mice, but I just use a standard mouse. I find this one works for me, and it's cheap: www.dicksmith.co.nz/dn/buy/microsoft-wireless-mobile-mouse-1850-blue-u7z-00015-microsoft/
@@archoncad I purchased a Magic Mouse. Connected it and the double click stopped on it and my trackpad... Had to reinstall the software and the mouse was returned....
Vectoswork have better workflow than Sketchup, AutoCAD, and Revit combined. Vectorswork you dont need to go to paperspace as Autocad or layout as Sketchup, is already connected to one. So many toolnbars, Is like Sketchup with build in layout and bim tools as Revit. Very good software.
