    Good day, is there a big difference between this engine and a 2022 KTM 350?

      Yes, there is quite a big difference. The 2016-2022 design can be characterized as a full-mod (fast) 250F style of power, whereas the 2023+ is like a mini-450. I prefer the free-revving nature and lightness of the 2016-2022's, but many vet riders have an easier time on the latest 350 platform as it has more low-to-mid and sensation of torque. Both good, just inherently different. If you like to to lug, newest 350 is your bike. If you like to rev and stretch gears with a lighter feel (and better chassis), "older" design is still great. Cheers!

    good morning. i'm thinking of trading my husqvarna 450 for a 350. since i don't ride much and i can go to the mx track a few times a month. i have 2 options, a 2022 chassis or the new 24. with very little money i can get a 2022 chassis and my suspensions made for me go directly into the 22. the 23 and up you have to put a lot of money to make it work so that it is comfortable. my weight is normally between 200 and 210 pounds and 6.1 tall. here in guadalajara mexico the tracks are very short and have very tight corners like plates. i am 48 years old. when i was young i rode the 125cc 2 strokes and that is my only doubt, i have to change my mentality, i only have 2 questions. 1: is there much difference in low to mid torque from the 350 22 to the 23? 2: do you still like the old 350 more today? that the new 350 bike with the new chassis? best regards and thanks for your answers I have a vortex ecu that could perhaps also improve the maps of the 22 bike a little.

      Good to hear from you again! Yes, there is quite a big difference between 22' and 23' options. Engine AND chassis-wise. I still prefer the free-revving nature and lightness of the 2016-2022's, but the 23'+ would be easier to ride for those who don't like to rev as much. If you need more bottom for those tighter tracks, the new bikes are likely easier to ride. Personally, I can ride the 'old' bikes better and for longer motos, but they are both solid platforms - Just uniquely different.
      You are right about the newer bikes taking a little more fine-tuning (and money) to dial in. If you found happiness on your FC450, it would probably be easier to find similar comfort on the 22'...

      @@CasMoto Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate your help. I took some time off motorcycles due to some knee and shoulder issues. I'm healing now, but it's been many months since I rode a bike. I'm over 18 and I'm not getting any younger, I'm already 48. Thinking about that now I just think about riding longer and having more fun. Maybe I can ride 3 to 5 times a month. The 2019 Husqvarna FC450 is lightly used, has smooth power with the Vortex ECU and suspensions that work very well. But when I get on that 450 I wear out in 2 or 3 laps and that's not as fun, nor does it help me regain my confidence. I need longer workouts, no matter how slow I ride for a while. Today I'm not thinking about competing to win races. I just want to regain my confidence and enjoy myself more with friends on the motorcycle track. And if I can go to another World Vet in Glen Helen, that will be great, regardless of the results. I just want to meet new people and enjoy the time. Best regards, and I hope to stop by and say hello to you at some MX event in California soon.

    Did you ride the fc250? I'm looking to buy a 2024 fc250. Why isn't there a video of it. Also could you explain the power?

    it is easier for vet riders than 23 yzf 450?

    • @CasMoto
      @CasMoto  Год назад

      Yes, much more forgiving. Owners have to learn the ins-and-outs of air forks and setting pressure every ride, but still a great Vet bike option. Best size bike for riders 5'6" or shorter too...

      @@cuddleman That's a full-height bike, not shorter version like the standard models. Both good, just for different size riders...

    Baffles me that they lower the suspension on the Husky’s. Was seriously considering one as my next bike coming off an 18 FC350, but seems it would be a pain to get the suspension back to standard height.

      Honestly, you have to ride one first before getting too bummed! They're REALLY solid, even with the lower platform, and nothing ridden to date turns this good. Plus, it's just another option in the Austrian group array...Full-height KTM and GasGas, lowered stance Husky. #TryBeforeYouBuy

      As a 5 foot 7.5 inch vet rider I am stoked it is a bit lower. As todays bike are all very high up it seems. So nice 2 have 1 out of the line up I wont have to debate weather I have to lower a bit and risk throwing off the performance of the bike.

    Better than 2021 ktm?

    • @CasMoto
      @CasMoto  2 года назад

      Depends how tall you are. For me at 6', it's a lateral move; The lowered platform Huskies seem to work really good for older riders and individuals 5'10" and shorter...The new FC350 is a great bike, but so were the previous generation Husqvarna's and KTM's. Cheers
