Iirc, keystones (from a previously translated patch note or leak) were crests, which would refer to their function and not their form. (They have a family crest-like emblem, but their function is to insert into an elder rift portal like a keystone.) Similarly, hilts in the EU Spanish localization are ases, which were a type of ancient Roman coin iirc, again referring to their function and not their form. (“Hilts” in di are not actually hilts, but coins with the emblem of a hilt.)
For the dust, i guess they are just merging all dust into one to not have like 4 colorsanymore, same as the white trash thing. For the enchantment i assume that they do allow us to add specific effects/sub stats (like reforging) to them.
all things that are RED on Global version is Purple in China and for the Legendary gem event it's only a rank 10 test, "not a select the gems you want and get an higher drop rate"
Giving people new gear upgrades would be a dissaster. This game needs new people or returning people to start spending because they have milked whales and making new players feel even more far away than old players will not make them want to return. Adding something new that requires upgrades would be the way to go. While game will continue to operate i dont see diablo having populated servers in 2 years.
About the 5 star gems can't be true, we are talking about the same company that only give bound crests, never eternal. It would be too easy to have 5/5 gems 😮

Just checked China region videos. Its red. So yeah purple means there's something they doing with gear
