In this video we are still in Xunhua, but we are not exploring Chili and Walnuts, we are exploring mosques and temples! Xunhua has a lot of minority groups - Salar, Hui and Tibetans. Both hui and Salar are muslim, which means that there are a lot of mosques in the area, as well as Tibetan monasteries.

My name is Miriam Follin. I’m a Swedish woman who has been living in-between Sweden and China since 2015. In 2017 I married my husband Yonghong, and we have since had two baby boys. In my videos I share life, culture and tradition (including food!) from China's countryside.

Hi! I've been uploading quite a lot lately, and I just wanted to let you know a bit about my plans! I can't keep up with one video per week (the kids, enrolled in Uni again, house renovations, documentary projects, the household...). So to make my life less stressful I'm now trying to get in a routine of one video every other week! And it will be on Sundays! So see you again on October 6, with a video about the Salar people!

Love the hot pot dinner... my head is always cold in Chicago winter, causing light headaches. Think i can survive any kind of weather in China since acclimated here for 20 years now but do miss the nice warm weather to enjoy outdoors more.
