    **With a low strength TCA peel (13% or less) it will take a series of monthly peels to see results. This is my 2nd eyelid peel and I get flaking about 4 days after the peel for about 2 days. PLEASE be care as it is the eye area! Make sure the q-tip is only damp, NOT wet. I am only sharing what I do, please do your own research! xoxo**

      I bought the tca 5% peel for the first time . So i did the prep as you instructed and after put first layer on my eyelid left on 5 minutes then second layer .on second layer i felt a little sting for about 2 seconds then then the sting stopped so after 5 minutes rinsed off was good no problems . My question is how many times a week or monthly do you recommend me doing the 5 % tca peel ?

    I did my upper eyelids and two giant sun spots that where very noticeable are now gone. I’m so happy. I went to spas and they wanted a fortune to get rid of them. I got a tca peel off e bay for eight bucks. I’m only 40 but with the spots gone it looks so much better.

      I’m terrified you purchased a chemical peel off eBay. I am an esthetician and have I have numerous people like you who have contacted me over the years who have done the same as you and have caused irreversible damage. Mainly scaring. They are also over doing the peels and aging themselves faster.
      Once you disrupt your skin’s barrier enough you can not repair your barrier.

    Platinum Skincare does an instructional video on this process as well and, it isn't as dangerous as it appears, the key is to not let the q-tip be dripping with tca solution, only allow it to be damp.
    This is a very doable and easy at home process with a low percentage of tca.
    Thanks for your videos Anne Marie ♥️

Lots of comments underneath from people saying they were going to do it too. That was uploaded over a year ago. How much harm has it done. Thankfully Anne-Marie was responsible enough to do it right AND warn people to be careful. Great tutorial. Love Anne-Maries videos (voice is so soothing)

    Ur very brave to try this :) Just a little warning tip, I heard coconut oil and Emu oil (Or Similar oils) before or after laser/Peels treatment can actually be harmful to the skin, the reason being, is these oils are known to travel further into the deep layers of the skin, which can actually drive the heat or peeling solution along with it causing major skin damage, esp near the eye, because the solution can drive itself into the eye itself. Hope this comment doesn't scare anyone, never thought about the damage some oils can cause with certain treatments till I came across some warnings in my search. Thank you for sharing Anne-Marie, your Lids looks fresh :-)

    • @jesusreturning3003
      @jesusreturning3003 6 лет назад +2

      Sorry Loretta I don't, I only found out by accident when I was researching about peels/laser skincare, through different type of blogs and clinicians articles I usually came across a warning at the end of the article stating to becareful of not applying certain products as it can cause major skin damage. I had actually read that certain oils can cause the heat to travel further down and fry the skin or cause 3 degree burns, so that kind of warning really stuck with me ever since, it makes sense though because of the way these oils function deeper into the skin layers, heat travels and so does other solutions if applied with coconut oil (Similar oils). No different to going into the sun with oil on or applying oil on after the sun, as the heat travels further into your skin layers, causing skin damage. Hope this helps, sorry I have no links, I had only stumbled across this kind of information when searching out other things, but you can google certain key words such as "What to avoid before laser/peel treatment" or contact some clinics and ask them if they can help regarding how to prepare your skin before or after laser/peel treatment. I can assure you there will be things you will need to avoid so your skin does not burn. When I had hair laser removal, I was not allowed to have any kind of self tanning lotion on through out the entire course, I was also not allowed to have any moisterisers on 24-48 hours before treatment, however I know oils in general are a No No, coconut/Emu and such oils are worse because they travel so far deeper. Just something to thing about :-) Ps: I love all oils though, Im just cautious when combined in certain treatments, its just good to tread on the safe side sometimes :-)

    • @lorettapeters1
      @lorettapeters1 6 лет назад

      Thank you for that info. I will definitely research. I've done laser hair removal over the past year or more, and they told me to not put lotion or moisturizers on the area that morning, but said tanning lotions or moisturizers applied the day or night before are fine. So much conflicting info out there, but we'll figure it out! :O)

    Another great video! Questions: after the TCA eye peel or face peel, how many days it takes for the skin to actually peel, 5 days or 7 days later ? Does it look very bad when your skin peel ? At 37 y.o. I had my dermatologist do a 35% TCA peel all around my eyes about 12 years ago. It took 9 days to totally heal where I could wear makeup again. The effect was the crepe skin was gone and the eyes look tighter and younger. The aging process was slowed down for about 10 years. It was well worth it. The only downside is the peeled skin remained lighter than the rest of my skin. I use sunblock and UV sunglasses whenever I will be out in the sun.

      Thanks for sharing! I have heard that using a lower strength but a series of them can achieve the same results as a higher strength peel and would guess the lower strength could cut out the pigment issues (just a guess). I had blepharoplasty and and a brow lift about 7 years ago and while it's still slightly better than before I had it done it didn't last very long in my opinion considering the cost. I really can't say I would recommend it, and I wouldn't do it again. I wish I would have researched other option before going under the knife.

      I would start out with a 13% (or less) using around the eye area simply because it's more delicate skin around the eyes. You can do them monthly and with a series of them then you see improvement. They are surprising easy to do and I get flaking about 4 days after for just about 2 days (this is my second eyelid peel so far). Yes, I would do it the same way under the eye. xoxo

    • @BeautyByAnneMarie
      @BeautyByAnneMarie 5 лет назад

      I find it is best at shrinking fat deposits (so the upper lid inner area fat pads) and can have a slight tightening effect on the lids as well. If you have it you could always try it first and if you don't see enough of a lift try the tca. xoxo

    Ann, it's been over a year since you did the TCA peel on your eyelids. Have you done more peels since then, and if so, are you seeing results? I've done four 15% peels (each with an additional layer) over 4 months and haven't really noticed a lessening of my excess eyelid skin. :-(

    I just started doing my face with a 40% lactic acid peel because I wanted to be very careful the first trying an acid peel before I tried any type of tca" peel for my face , I wanted to go lightly so I could see the lactic acid working and what it could do for my face over the next few weeks and a series of 6 to 8 weeks. Even though its not doing too much, I do feel my face tightening over the next few days after the peel.and have been doing them.... The only thing is , I noticed that my eyes are very wrinkled and sagging and I feel they need it even more , but I was so worried about doing my eyes, but they do need it desperately or its going to be eyelid lift surgery, besides you make it look easy. So what would I need to do exactly besides doing the 13% tca peel a and the care afterwards its looks easy enough to try so I thought why not? Amazon for some reason seems to no longer allow tca to be sold. Not sure if this will change in the future or not. You could google tca peel and order from a website, the mandelic is a great peel for mainly skin tone it gets rid of any discoloration. You could try the mandelic there it would be more gentle for sure than a tca and still removes dead skin cells but not as aggressively as the tca does.

      Thank you so much! No, no fillers, botox or any facial procedures. I just use at home treatments and topical products. Lots of love to you xoxo

    Hello dear Anne Marie, you are a beacon light atop a high hill, thank you for all your great information!
    Being an esthetician, I have performed many peels on myself and others, for years and years! Yes, low % TCA is a must, I do not think one is able to get high strength without a license, but I could be wrong? I do not have very sensitive skin but folks that do, or are not comfortable doing a peel, should see a professional, and make sure that person is knowledgable about peels!

    Can I use this on my face
    I have deep acne scars.

      I believe TCA helps with acne scars but I'd google it first if I were you and read up on it a bit. I've done a full face TCA peel for anti aging purposes and it turned out great xoxo

    Can I use this procedure for under eye circles. No matter what I've used they never seem to lighten much. I'm Irish decent so I don't have super dark circles-no bags- just enoug to be annoying and always have to cover up w/ concealer. Thanks😊❤

      Yes, you can do this on the under eye area as well. From what I read it is suppose to help with circles. xoxo

    Tfs. I'm a chicken and i just don't feel comfortable doing this myself. I had been using an eye cream for the eyes for upper and lower. I eneded up getting a small tumor on the lid of my eye and inside corner area. I must say , a needle in your eye to numb and then remove them hurt like , i not say the word. I almost passed out and became sick. Dr had to stop for a minute for cold wrags and watch me. Your eye being streatched open and a needle coming at you is very scary. Im just now able to ware makeup again , and HAVEN'T yet! My eyes are nothing for me to play with. But way to go with your courage and knowledge you do have. If this is what you have to do for the eyes , I'd be old crapy woman. Or maybe a dr could do it and idk even about that. Maybe like i said , i just embrace being old😱 , lol. I did however order me a derma roll and I'm going to try it! Small steps at a time , lol. Your a very beautiful lady .

      An eye tumor sounds painful and a needle in the eye even worse! Hope you are better now and I don't blame you for avoiding anything around the eye area. xoxo

    What do you suggest for pitted scars? I have them from cold sores after having a terrible fever

      Well, I would say using a 0.5mm derma stamp right inside the scar but I'm not sure about using one if you are prone to cold sores. I'd suggest googling if you can first but the stamp is great to build new collagen in the skin (once a week). xoxo

      Jim Painter I tried the 13% a week and a half ago on my face. Just one layer. I felt a sting but not too bad. It peeled 3 or 4 days later. Nothing too bad. It definitely helped. Enough where I will do it again in about 2 weeks. My skin isn’t sensitive nor is it thick. I haven’t tried my eyes yet. 😬

      Jim Painter, I am 70 and completely scared of messing with my eyelids. Just back in May(all through a vacation sadly) I had a strange breakout on one upper eye lid, up to my eyebrow. I don't know if I got some of the Alpha A Liquid Gold on that delicate area or what, but it was very sore and took a long time to settle. I never use it around my eyes so it would have been an accident, or it was some other issue. But it has made me very wary.
