    sorry for the late comment, but how is the time constant calculated here to be 0.16 microseconds?

    Cool! Very interesting, thank you! If I make R variable, will it change only the ƒc of the last part of the circuit (LR) which looks like a LP? Or will it have influence in the whole 3rd order filter? I'd like to bread-board it so I ask to know what should I expect - I'm looking for interesting 3rd order filters, but with dynamically variable frequency over a range of around 5Hz-18kHz and I do that usually with a 5M-1k5 photo resistor + voltage controlled LED, so I look for circuits that can use a variable R element...
