i was expecting to see atleast 1 million subs, IS CRAZY HOW GOOD YOURE CONTENT IS, goshh one of the best youtube recommendations so far, keep it up bro youre out here helping so many people im subscribing for suuuure!
man you've just opened a new door for me, never heard of convolution reverb and now im about to go crazy on sound design, but like CRAZY CRAZY, new sub
Tip: Use Oeksound Spiff and/or Soothe or any transient transient designer and even a hard limiter (or clipper for bonus harmonic saturation) to shave off the clicks and sharp transients on your dialogue vocal track present in your videos as they really standout on headphones (I am using Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros 🔥) especially when compared to the other sounds you are playing. Some other sounds also have these clicks so i would also suggest treating the audio tracks on your master track of your video editing software. using a condensor microphone (some senitive dynamic mics too) naturally will introduce these clicks. Using a low pass filter at around 12-13kHz with a Q = 6 will help smoothing your top end while also sounding natural too! Your video quality is great, i would love to see your audio also match that level of polish! Suggested chain to clean up audio: Spiff or Transient Designer > Soothe (optional) > LPF Q=6 @13kHz > Clipping (~ =< -1dB) (optional) > Limiter (~ =< -2dB) (Mode: Transient/True Peak) (to shave off any leftover stray transients) You can use this outside of your master chain too! Bonus: A little at each stage/plugin goes a long way so be wary of over-processing! You got this, keep making these stylistic videos because i am calling it right now, you channel is gonna grow! Don't be deterred to make longer videos as RUclips is really favouring these type of videos that are of a longer length (~10min+). They might take longer to make but RUclips is heading in the episodic Netflix style content more and more each year. Disclaimer: I am just another internet dude who has been on YT for far too long as a consumer of content and i have slowly started to a study of the content i consume to start my own channel in the near future purely as hobby and passion.
This is very cool. Another thing I like to do with convolution reverb is layer them to make cheap sounds go full lush. Eg take a standard midi pluck, use a stubby IR to give the sound some body then use a long tail to give it the natural length of say a harp. Really easy way to upgrade free samples before I go crazy and add another layer to change it again into something alien.
Yup. And to add another touch I recommend using it in a multiband processor where you can apply the weirder IR shapes into parts of the bandwidth where you know you're applying exotic effects that won't mess with your main frequencies/song, then go granular/whatever on those parts and automate it's wet/dry to kick in for flourish where you need it.
Thank you so much 🙏 this is the best convolution reverb tutorial I found. I also really appreciate your chill vibe ♥️ Looking forward to more tutorials!
what the heck? I've never seen such thing man! this is beyond my mind, I can't even imagine something like this is even possible. Nevertheless it creates very cool effect, definitely worthy enough to try it in next session, thanks man!
The way the reverb works is that it finds what sound the impulse makes then changes the loudness and other things based on the paper crinkling. the piano doesn’t come from the recordings
dude tought me how to harmonize like two days ago. now im learning this its crazy
I got you 🫡 and I appreciate that fr fr 🙏🏾
This is amazing and exactly what I've been looking for to add more interesting textures to synths and drums.
I’m happy to hear that
The drums with this are insane

This is sick man, seems like there's a nearly unlimited ways to apply this creatively
The piano through paper ends up sounding like a recording of an upright/grand where you an hear the movement of the plucks and strings.
