In the USA the regulations do not allow Churrascarias to operate like they do in Brazil. That's why it is different. I am Brazilian. I live in the US and the difference is crazy!!!
@samuel9294 no. But you could look under the USDA regulations to prepare and serve foods. I asked once at a BBQ place why the meat was cut so small. And he told me that it was due to USDA regulations.
I went to the original Porcao restaurant in Rio de Janeiro in 2003 .. it was the best meat barbecue restaurant I’ve ever been to . The buffet was great too , including some of the freshest sushi I’ve had . The biggest difference to anywhere else I’ve been to was that at one point the manager came to ask me if I wanted them to cook up some fresh local fish for us .. we were already stuffed by then though , so we didn’t get that .. we were 7 people and after we’d had our fill of the amazing buffet and perfectly cooked prime meats and also wines and beers , the total bill came to under $100 .. it was 2003 , but still .. one of the best meals of my life ..😃..
You put on vlog exactly all my thoughts and experiences of Fogo de Chão in Sampa. It is an unforgettable experience. Barbacoa is a bit different in offering though, and their fish is superb, so are the side dish options, also is their early evening buffet. Thanks for sharing.
Stayed with Brazilian immigrants during a trip to San Diego who worked at a couple different Brazilian Steak houses we ended up eating at most time. I love the thin sliced cuts and whatever sauce they would put on it, never seen it in Michigan.
There’s a Fogo De Chao in MI! It’s in Troy, I’m going for the third time tomorrow lol. Absolutely geeked. I can confidently say it’s equivalent to this if not a bit lower
Brazilian here. Churrasco without coal or wood fire it's simply not churrasco. The smoke of the fire is an ESSENTIAL element of true brazilian churrasco flavor. It's like making Texas style brisket without the pit smoker. It's not the same thing.
I ate at Fogo de Chao here in Dallas after moving into my new apartment to celebrate, and it tasted fine to me. Which means this would likely blow my mind the way "Godzilla Minus One" did last night. Dunno if I'll ever make it to Brazil in this lifetime, but this is something to remember.
As a Brazilian that has been to FDC in Orlando and in Brazil I can say that the buffet is missing some key foods in the US. They didn’t have farofa or chicken hearts (a Brazilian delicacy), but one of the chefs must have been Brazilian because the waiter came back with a farofa they made just for me…
I've been to the Fogo de Chao in San Diego, and my experience with the service was very similar to what you experienced in Brazil! I can't speak for the food, but I had very attentive service with the servers coming around constantly. Maybe the experience differs per location? Either way, it sounds like we all need to try this in Brazil!
Fogo de Chão is indeed a great churrascaria here in Brazil, but not the best one, despite being at top 10, no doubt. Nothing better than a casual "churrasco" or "churrascada" with friends. The experience worth it. There are many ways to do it, like using a farm tripod or doing a hole in the ground, beneath the soil.
Wow!! Must be so nice to be in Brazil!! You've come a long way, baby!! You're living proof that hard work and sacrifice pays off!! Keep it up Brother!!
Most popular for foreigners and tourists. To us, Fogo de Chão is extremely expensive to be popular, kinda thrice more expansive than average. The fried belly pork is a TORRESMO. I'm not sure it was over fried... It's supposed to be double fried until turns into "pururuca" (little bubbles). It MUST BE like this, otherwise it's not a torresmo.
i am from brazil so i can say this from experience, when the waiter cuts all the outer sides they come back to the kitchen to continue to cook the meat, if they continue to cut the meat without doing that it would be raw in the middle
The only reason I came back to Brazil is the food. Even though there are good Brazilian restaurants around the world, the price and similarity are too expensive.
The Hilton, 6 blocks away, has a fabulous buffet on Friday. The head chef is visiting tables, outside open charcoal pit, cooking to your liking. Highly RECOMMEND ❤
I've been to churrascarias in the United States and Brazil. The best are in Sao Paulo. I always end up in a food coma when I'm finished, but it's worth it.
Thanks for visiting Rio (I can almost go by foot to that Fogo de Chão in Botafogo, never been there but hear it's an amazing place) Would love to see you visit some street food places here, like the Batata de Marechal - the fried potatoes with spiced pork saugage, or chicken bits, or bacon come on enormous portions - four people can eat well, two or three if they are hungry Obrigada por visitar o Rio (eu quase posso ir a pé naquele Fogo de Chão em Botafogo, nunca estive lá mas ouço dizer que é um local incrível) Adoraria ver você visitando alguns locais de comida de rua, como a Batata de Marechal - as batatas fritas com calabresa, grango à passarinho ou bacon vêm em corções enormes - quatro pessoas comem bem, duas ou três se estiverem com fome
The very first time I saw this channel I thought it was Jackie Chan doing food reviews, so I started to watch and was hooked ever since. I hope that somehow, someway Mikey Chen could do an episode with Jackie Chan. That would blow my mind.
The pink mayo in the burger reminds me of going to a pizza place in northern New Jersey which was locally famous for its grinders. I was surprised to find pink mayonnaise on the roll instead of oil-and-vinegar - kind of hard to wrap my mind (and mouth) around.
you cant really compare fogo de chão to barbacoa. As good as fogo de chão is, the original barbacoa in Itaim neighborhood is on another level imho THE BEST meat you will ever try anywhere in the world
I think you might have been to a bad Fogo de Chao in America. The lamb at FdC in New Orleans was anything but dry. Everything was great, and the service was on-the-spot!
There are beter places than Fogo de Chão in Brasil, I'd recommend maybe NB Steak or Barbacoa in São Paulo for example. Great stuff, makes Fogo de Chão look like applebees.
Fogo de Chão, is not the most popular churrascaria in são paulo or Brazil by far. There are great ones all over the city. There is no difference between dinner and lunch in a churrascaria.
Doing BK AFTER Fogo de Chão? Dude that`s SAVAGE
In the USA the regulations do not allow Churrascarias to operate like they do in Brazil. That's why it is different. I am Brazilian. I live in the US and the difference is crazy!!!
That makes sense cuz I go to Fogo I'm Minneapolis and they don't have what I'm seeing on this channel
There are brazilian steakhouses that work very similar to brazilian ones in the US, i wonder if thats true at all. Do you have the name of the laws?
@samuel9294 no. But you could look under the USDA regulations to prepare and serve foods. I asked once at a BBQ place why the meat was cut so small. And he told me that it was due to USDA regulations.
In Brazil, meat is roasted with charcoal. In many places in the USA, due to smoke, it is not allowed to cook with charcoal, but over a gas flame.

Now Porcao is called Moccellin and still good. With meat, japanese food, salad bar, seafood, hot dishes and stuff.
O Porção do Aterro era maravilhoso!
Now it's called Moccellin and it's in fact one of the bestest BBQ restaurants that I've ever been.
Porcão was a legend!

Depending on what meat you ate, there's no sauce, it's just salt and the meat juice itself making it taste so good
Watching this as I plop a hot dog in my air fryer 🥲
god bless you
too real lmfao
I just boiled 2 eggs lol
I’m eating cold ravioli outta the can
The Best foods and words Brazil.
THATS SOME TRUE BRAZILIAN CULTURE RIGHT THERE. WELCOME TO BRASIL !
Geez. This man is a MACHINE. Going to Bk after fogo de chao? Daaamn!
Brazilian food is delicious 🤤😋
My family loves FDC. Every chance we get...
I’m so glad to see you enjoying Brazilians food!!! I’m your biggest fan Jackie Chan!!!
Fogo in LA is just as Uhhhhhhmazing.
A muito tempo atrás eu te disse q quando viesse ao Brasil pra nao deixar de comer nosso churrasco, acho q voce gostou
You’re in São Paulo!!! Wish you a nice stay! And don’t forget to visit the Japanese and Chinese restaurants in Liberdade 😊
Bem que eu gostaria de ir em um desses
7hrs from a long flight??....your a brave man....For destroying that jet's bathroom. I couldn't do it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LMAO!
I love their food it really is the bomb
A lot of cities in the US don't allow coal due to the smoke. The difference from coal to electric or gas cannot be overstated!
Brazilian here. Churrasco without coal or wood fire it's simply not churrasco. The smoke of the fire is an ESSENTIAL element of true brazilian churrasco flavor. It's like making Texas style brisket without the pit smoker. It's not the same thing.
@audrniasn There's not a Brazilian churrasco.
This bulshit is traditional from Plata basin and you have no property to say what is it or not
I ate at Fogo de Chao here in Dallas after moving into my new apartment to celebrate, and it tasted fine to me. Which means this would likely blow my mind the way "Godzilla Minus One" did last night. Dunno if I'll ever make it to Brazil in this lifetime, but this is something to remember.
Brazilian meat is exported to the whole world. Its top tier.
As a Brazilian that has been to FDC in Orlando and in Brazil I can say that the buffet is missing some key foods in the US. I have been to the one in Orlando and my plate was overflowing with meat. I definitely didnt have a problem with people coming around.
Ok don’t ever come back to the us then
Fogo de Chão is indeed a great churrascaria here in Brazil, but not the best one, despite being at top 10, no doubt.

The big difference is the meat, in Brazil we have differents cuts and all is fresh. No comparison the flavor that’s another level.
@@julianegil2022 sounds delicious, I hope I can travel to Brazil and try it myself!
Feel invited to return to Brazil whenever you want!
Every food tastes better in Brazil ❤
BK after Fogo? Mike, you're a beast! We have ours here in Minneapolis, and I have yet to be disappointed!
Wow!! Must be so nice to be in Brazil!! You've come a long way, baby!! You're living proof that hard work and sacrifice pays off!! Keep it up Brother!!
Very happy that you liked our barbecue Mike, in fact Fogo de chão is the best barbecue steakhouse we have here
🧢
I don’t think that’s true.
Wait, he ate all this in one day! 😂😮
Thank you FoGo de.cHao ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Feijoadaaaahh! 🥣😋
Hey Mike. When I come here. I always appreciate it. The vids are raw & the food always amazes me. 😋 Have a great weekend. Enjoy, Thanks!! ❤️🤗🐞
Is this a promotion? How does he get the best outer sides of all the meat always? Looks fantastic, if I get all the same cuts!
i am from brazil so i can say this from experience, when the waiter cuts all the outer sides they come back to the kitchen to continue to cook the meat, if they continue to cut the meat without doing that it would be raw in the middle
South American beef is on another level
Looked amazing!
The only reason I came back to Brazil is the food. Even though there are good Brazilian restaurants around the world, the price and similarity are too expensive.
Holly mother of all that is beef 😂love it .. hope we get the barbie combo here in New Zealand 😮
I'm a big fan Jack Chan. i love u❤
Went to Fogo de Chao in Chicago and my friend ate 120 lamb chops. I could not get enough of the little cheese bread balls yum
We, Brazilians, are crazy for cheese bread balls (Pão de queijo, in portuguese.)
I experienced the meat sweats in a Brazilian steakhouse. Sooooo good!
Omg those cutlets ❤it looked incredible ❤
you should visit Fogo de Chao Buckhead Atlanta Georgia , USA . Is the BEST.,
The Hilton, 6 blocks away, has a fabulous buffet on Friday. The head chef is visiting tables, outside open charcoal pit, cooking to your liking.
Highly RECOMMEND ❤
Churrascaria no Brasil é muito melhor do que qualquer outra churrascaria fora do Brasil!
na Argentina é melhor
I've been to churrascarias in the United States and Brazil. The best are in Sao Paulo. I always end up in a food coma when I'm finished, but it's worth it.
1:52 I can see Gordon Ramsey saying “ITS FKIN RAW U TWAT”😂😂
It was PERFECT
Las Vegas Fogo: flip it green and they ascend on you quickly! 🎉

HAHAHAHAHA!
😂
He looks more like Yuen Yat-Chor. 袁日初
I've been to the Fogo de Chao in Los Angeles and I had great service. Many different kinds and cuts of meat going around, my plate was ALWAYS full!
Me to...DTLA Figueroa and 8th st
We have a FDC in Boston MA-very expensive (I believe about $240 for two); what's the tab in Rio?
O dólar aqui e valorizado esta 1 para 5 reis. Comendo e bebendo bem, aqui deve dar no máximo $100 para dois
You have to try NB Steak though. They say it’s better than fogo de chão.
Never thought I'd see a man wearing lululemon.
u r amazing
At Fogo de Chao BEEF RIBS is the WAY to go yum!
One question for the OP: Creator, Lipitor, or Zocor?
You shouldn’t be mad at the US you should be mad at yourself for buying that lulu lemon shirt 😂
Gopro stream?! What are your settings? Please and thank you!
I LOVE 2002 BY ANNE MARIE
thx for coming here

You gotta come back and try Barbacoa all you can eat barbecue
Enjoy mike enjoy 😆 Hahahahaha 🤪
Mike! why dont u call me for a collab? ❤️
Meat at 2:00 was cooked from frozen the way it’s raw for 1 inch and the rest is well done
Way better cuts of meat than what we get out here. Half the time, they just rotate the same 3 meats. That looks amazing
I ate fogo de chao here in SA it’s good.
That looks like it was a delicious feast
No Brazilian Costco? Mikeeeeee
You sure have great taste buds!
O JACKIE CHAN FICANDO MALUCO NO ESPETO CORRIDO
Seja bem vindo sempre 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

Love this place!! So much good food

How much did you pay, Mike? U$40/50 p.p?

Just how you bang the table on the first bite of prime rib….I’m sold!
Michelin?
Mike, you should buy t-shirts that fit you, looks like you wear small
he is small the man is 5 foot 3 in real life...maybe 5'4 at most.
Sending support..
done watching ❤😊
No "pão de queijo" Chen?
Did you say Brazil?
Beef in Brazil is grass fed. That’s the difference you are tasting.
10:00: Chorizo is Spanish. Should be Chouriço.
Do u feel safe
Had lamb recently and it was as good as steak! Steak is my favorite food too!
Looking good as always Mike 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
Did u go see the lady from ipanema?
