Thank you so much! I can't wait to tweet you a picture of my cape and my greatest gratitude. Also, no idea how this has any dislikes. The guys chill and will answer all your questions over Twitter. 10/10
I've only watched upto you explaining where monsters bigger than 1x1 sq are actually located and i'm already thankfull. I could def use this to help solve stacked mobs. Now it kinda makes sense why the melee npc is blocked differently on each side of northern pillar.
Was verry helpful, while playing around with this I got 1 thing to add; noticed that say if you have a blob and a mager and your alternating. If the mager resurrects something his timing resets and you won't be in line with it so you gotta go behind pillar and reset yours aswell Also when mager resurrects if there is something blocking him he will walk forward to melle (same as when you move when stalled eg while casting vengeance he moves rather fast)
Keep using this guide as reference so helpful haven't got cape yet but getting better and better other day best attempt was wave 47 with 2.5 restores 8 brews and now have made it to triple jads last attempt was wave 61 with 7 restores 6 brews... still a lot to learn but will get this cape with the help of your guide!
Saw you at ge couple of weeks ago when you'd just got your pet, and your zam halo/infernal fashionscape game was so on point that i went to cws and copied you exactly. i now get all the rs babes ty man, nice vid btw
Big thanks to everyone for the likes/shares/comments, really appreciate it Went from 45 likes 1 dislike, to 55 likes 60 dislikes, had to turn off the ratings. Someone decided to dislike bot or whatever, promise its not cus it's shit edit (21/07/2017): going to show the ratings again, just keep in mind at least 60 dislikes are fake, somewhere around 65 fake atm. Since hitting 72 dislikes I've got around 80 likes without a single new dislike.
Cha_rles i personally could care 3 fucks about the dislikes. I just obtained my very own inferno cape with ruby bolts after 6 tries because of you, MvP af. Much love
Maybe not full but still very in depth, shame you got dislike botted for no reason. It's exactly what people with little inferno experience should look up to. Hope you update it over time :)
Roki thanks, hopefully I don't need to update too much as gear doesn't matter for most tips, they should always be useful. I will add new things to the description though
Yeah it can be a pain to learn since you die so easily on any mistakes, but once you have it it's not too bad at all, just watch for the attacks to start the 1t flicking
Apparently relogging resets the zuk wave and allows you to force the shield to start going west, which gives the better shield location during the first set of range/mage
Yeah you can, I personally never did it because i got the hang of flicking them and don't really mind which way it goes now, for me east might even be better
I'm trying to figure out the safety region of the shield. So at 21:10, you say the first clip shows you running while being safe the entire time. Is the shield's safe area 3 tiles wide, so basically the safe area is just the area it covers? This confuses me though, because it looks like while running you're standing at the last square the shield overs, and then the shield moves 1 square in 1 tick while you run 2 squares in 1 tick, putting you at a square ahead of the shield. I'm clearly missing something, but I'm 10/10 failed zuk fights (I've yet to not be 1-shot by zuk/jad during wave 69, even though I'm usually at full or over full hp), so I really wanna make sure I fully understand the shield before doing another attempt that makes it past Zuk's healers and dies, somehow I seem to be better at killing Zuk while blowpiping the healers, then dealing with his enraged form with no healers.
iamdamasta1 yeah the safe bit is slightly ahead of the shield (except in some weird circumstances which you won't usually encounter). If you want to know why exactly it's because the attack from the boss is calculated *after* the shield has effectively moved, although both happen in the same tick one has to happen before the other Blowpiping is probably easier as it's just a simple run-hit-run-hit cycle
Question about the technique at 10:41: Will the ranger always attack before the mage? in this case the ranger is stuck behind the mage, but what if it was the mage stuck behind the ranger? Would the ranger still attack before the mage allowing you to flick them or not
what do you do if mage and ranger are trapped south, but a blob spawns very far away near west pillar, i dont have a t bow, so i cant reach the blob, while staying behind the pillar
does 1 or 2 range/mage prayer flicking protect both sources of damage if kept the rythm? does it work no matter if the mage attacks connects when you're actually under the opposite prayer? is it exclusive for the inferno, or does it work everywhere else too? I've been testing against trolls range at trollheim and I keep taking damage even while 1 ticking properly when they hit behind magic prot. I can understand the logic behind flicking techiniques for graardor solo, but wtf is 12:00. Does that work everywhere? click every 0,8 sec or 1 time before game engine steps an action ahead (ie updating prayer icon off)
A M for this video I assumed people knew about prayer flicking, but I'll summarise for you. Quick correction on what you said, its ~0.6 seconds per tick not 0.8 For almost every attack in game, with very few exceptions, the damage something does to you is calculated when the monster first attacks you. To block from it you need the correct prayer up when that happens. So say on that Mage you need the Mage prayer on when it first attacks, which is when the animation and the ball it makes with its tail first start. It doesn't matter at all what you have on when that attack actually reaches you. As I said in the video the Mage range and melee all attack every 4 ticks. So let's take the example with the range and Mage behind the pillar. Normally if you walked out or went east both would attack at the same time, but with this method you make them attack at different points in the 4 tick cycle. So every 4 ticks in the first clip of Mage + range I have: range attack, Mage attack, nothing, nothing. And that pattern repeats. You can see that I start with range prayer on, as soon as the ranger has started it's attack animation I switch to Mage prayer, because the rangers damage is now calculated as 0 damage so I no longer need to do anything about it, when the Mage starts its attack I no longer need to do anything about that either so I can take both prayers off for two ticks. Now what I could also do which would still work for the range and Mage would be rather than range-Mage-nothing-nothing, I do range-Mage-range-Mage. You can see the first 2 in the cycle of 4 ticks is the same so it will protect against the range and Mage, but I'm also adding 2 additional prayer, they help to deal with the attacks of the blob which are calculated in a unique way
Do you have a good way of dealing with a ranger and mager to the west of the ne pillar while you're on the east? Not done inferno in a while but I think I just yoloed south coz I couldn't offtick them.
Hi Cha_rles, I am not sure if you are still replying to comments now this video is a little older but I will give it a go. Can you confirm whether it is always 100% safe to run 2 (or more?) squares from the west or east safespots and let yourself be dragged with an ACB BEFORE healers? This is assuming you did not log after triple jads. Because I have definitely seen a lot of people be dragged out from these safespots and take a zuk hit, I am not sure whether this is because they must have logged and changed the safe spots, or perhaps they ran an odd number of steps before being dragged, or whether this only works for TB, or whether this information is actually false. Thank you for the great video and advice
If you start off 1 square further away or 1 closer you will stop running 1 square before you normally end, this is still safe though. so yeah it's either they relogged and changed the timings, or they were doing it after healers
Thanks for the guide. Thoughts on guardian boots? perhaps they could be good if your not as experienced for tanking, and they have less negative mage attack to help with nibblers and freezing melee?
@@charlesosrs thought about this but the boots are heavy asf. 6g's most boots are either 0 or 1g. prob genuinely makes a difference with run energy unless 99 agility XD
ok so if you log the positions it drags you to are actually dangerous? also ofter being dragged and crossing the middle is the other vial spot safe when goin the opposite direction?
Great vid man, just wondering overall how hard would you rate the inferno, compared to fight caves, I got 2 firecapes but tbh did panic a little bit doing them, also what are the minimal stats and gear required? Would you say there are any very expensive items that are a must, such as twisted bow.
This is way harder than fight caves, it's much harder than even the fight kiln was in pre-eoc runescape. For gear you can do it with far less but tbow is going to help a lot mostly on Jads/Zuk, dps isn't as important in lower waves but can help save some prayer if you cant 1t. Definitely use arma/pegs too. Ancestral is the least important upgrade you can definitely do without that. For a shield use a tank shield, ely>spec/dfs/arcane
Ah okay cheers for the advice, I think I can manage armadyl/pegs and a DFS, with some ahrims in there, doubt I'll ever afford the tbow since I never stake though, how about the stats, I'm guessing you need at least 90s and 94 mage for barrage?
Hey in the description you mentioned relogging can change safespots etc. Can you explain this a bit further and/or gimme some links cause I wanna look into that and make sure it doesn't fuck me over when I get to boss lol
Well if you watch potupson's wave 69 on his full run video he does it, then doesn't understand why he gets hit. He also avoids getting hit at other points because of it
Hey man, can you elaborate a bit more when you say "these safespots change when healers come" do you mean the actual safespot from zuk or in general as in you won't be safe from the healers?
ebooog69 before the healers the boss attacks 4 times per wall, when the healers spawn he becomes enraged and attacks 5 times per wall. The attacks are spread out evenly, so the places he attacks at change
Make sure you pot up before you start healers (brew to 115-restore-range pot). That means you dont have to brew as early and should have killed a couple by the time you need to brew. Also after you tag each one try to focus on killing one rather than getting 2 of them to half hp, obviously if you go for the middle ones just be careful in the corners and dont run out too early Good luck!
