Only via the Netflix App. It's not the best but it just works. Every time I try to view via BigScreen + RemoteDesktop it's another issue to try and deal with. I did rent a 3D movie in BigScreen VR when I first tried it on Quest2. Streaming was hopeless. Very laggy & grainy. I'd rather just watch on a decent TV set than have all the hassle to be honest.
I believe at some point in time sporting events will be filmed specifically for viewing via VR headsets. Imagine being able to sit in your garden and watching your favourite game like it's there. That is the future of VR headsets. I'm sure someone at Apple has already thought about that.

So you can save movies on internal memory and use a player like Skybox if you want passthrough or void while watching an offline movie. You can use Bigscreen in offline as well to watch a saved movie in one of their awesome Environments. Again still works offline. For storage concerns there is one media app out there on quest store that lets you use the usb c port dor external storage to watch movies but I forget the name of that paid app. Bigscreen VR and most others require it to be saved on internal memory. I don’t have many games so my 512gb quest can hold alot of 1080p films

Can you play a 3D movie with no theatre or background? I don't want that unnecessary stuff. I used to watch 3D Blu-rays on my PS4 with PSVR1 and it would just be the movie. These back drops just put me off. Is there just a blacked out option?
mh first make sure you headset is updated. close the app completely and turn of your headset if it still doesn't let you just uninstall the app and install again
Hi, I haven't purchased the viewer yet because I still have some reservations: Would it be possible (with both the Quest 2 and 3) to watch a film without the video window being inserted in a virtual or real environment? It wouldn't do me any good, on the contrary. I would just like to see the window of the movie (or video on RUclips) full screen with nothing around it and which remains still and does not deform in perspective when I turn my head. I understand that to many it will seem like blasphemy or at least a contradiction, because it is a VR viewer and was created to do that type of work, but I don't care. That question depends. While the psvr 2 has oled screens, which probably is a far cry better on visuals. The quest 3 has access to far more content. You get more games, access to movies and a plethora of apps that are not games, with the added benefits of being able to use it for pcvr.
I tried to watch Netflix in Big Screen using both the browser in Big Screen and via the Remote Desktop they offer. In the browser version, movies and tvs don't load up and in the Remote Desktop it's just a black screen. Pretty annoying since the Netflix app only allows streaming up to 480p.
Is this application something that you can just download onto the headset or do have to connect a PC to it, I'm limited on VR streaming on PC just after buying my Quest 3 headset, neither of my PCVR apps or Quest Link wireless work anymore so if this is something you need to connect a PC to, I won't be able to use it for my benefit.
@@VRelity Good news is, I did manage to find out what was blocking me from accessing all my PCVR links, bad news is that my computer is not optimised enough to run these things perfectly and it would take at least a year to upgrade.

It feels like a real life cinema. I like the the imax screen which is insanely big just like the the real thing. If you sit closer to the screen, it gets so big you can't see all of the screen, my sweet spot is the centre seat but you can move about to different seats. After experiencing cinema in vr, I don't think I'll watch movies on TV again.

@@VRelity One fc has been doing it for years on quest. Look on venues and I think also youtube. I believe they also have older stuff on their site but I think you might have to download those
all of them are pretty useless since the reason people watch movies on vr over their tv is because they can lay in bed and have it floating above them...I use virtual desktop because its very customizable and most importantly I can make the screen follow my head...so if I tilt my head to the side it will follow my head movements...its perfect
@@VRelityThe image quality of video is way way better if it's being processed by the Quest3. You are streaming heavily compressed image quality with virtual desktop. I think SkyboxVR is the best for movies. It's easy to setup. I stream content from multiple drives on my network.
While big screen ist awesome i just cant justify the extraordinary BAD quality while streaming amazon prime or netflix. Its always so low quality and pixelated. Id rather use Virtual Desktop or watch the files straight from the headset.

I dislike BigScreen. It’s marketed BS. It’s janky and clunky. Always a very few select people. You have to use the janky menu and very limited menu options. Sure I can go into an environment to lay down, but it’s annoying to go into a room and have to use the menu to constantly change my horizontal or vertical view just because I lay down.

In Bigscreen you can see actually what is on the screen of you oc so if you open iptv there you will see it.

no for most options you dont need a PC but for some you do. Perhaps upgrading your PC if possible would also help with quest link
