Wow didn’t realize the full power of airtable with the databases. Love the automated replies. This video was super helpful for me to decide between the two apps and understand the individual strengths of each app. Thank you 😊
This is the best comparision video on Airtable Vs Notion that I have come across so far. Great work!! 👏🏼 I use Airtable and Notion for different purposes. Somethings are done by one over the other much better by scale, and in some other areas, they pretty much both suffice equally.
I started using airtable in business applications last year and appreciate the other videos on your channel to help me build my skills there. I'm going to see about using Notion too now.
Great video, I am thinking to use this channel to train collaborators on airtable. Very much appreciated. I have come across Clickup and am trying to use it with a handful of collaborators but I still find the interface not very instinctive. I used Trello before , which feels good to work with - although the capabilities on free acct are far less? I recently downloaded the notion & its interface looks very beautiful but complex to learn... Wondering what your thoughts are, the outcome sought is a project management & life management tool to use alongside airtable on the free plan for now?
@@julian_post A comparison between Airtable and Jestor from your POV would be most interesting - the one thing that makes me hesitate about Airtable is its very limited scalability - eg a small SAS edtech business with 10,000 clients - one quickly runs out of capacity even for basic uses and then they limit the interconnectedness capability between their databases so I ask myself is it worth the effort to learn/deploy and use this software? The more I think about it the more it seems that Airtable is not really concerned with companies with 1000's of repeat customers - all the tools and GUI etc are all very nice ..but...what is teh pointof no code/low code goodness if it also comes with toy limitations in terms of scalability? Disappointing...or am I wrong...?
Thanks for the great video. I'm currently using Notion and i was looking into trying some automation tactics with Zapier. Seems like Airtable would be best, I thought i could cut down time by not having to learn Airtable if Notion could do the job.😁
Yes! Notion is better for non-database stuff, like making pages with lots of text + formatting. For database features, pretty much everything is better in Airtable (anyone who disagrees feel free to chime in)
Hi Julian, with the new Formulas 2.0 syntax in Notion, you can really go deep, like having rollup fields (properties) on steroids. Have you started using dot syntax with Notion and the new formulas? Maybe that’s a future video…?
To answer @VoodooD0g’s questions, the commenting between users at a record level (inside any database) in Notion is not something Airtable does, or at least certainly not as elegantly. Each record in a Notion is also a full-blown page, pretty cool.
Thank you! Just really getting into Notion right now and LOVING it but now you have me interested in AirTable too - this is not good for my ADHD brain LOL
I’ve watched lots of video tutorials on Airtable and from the few that I’ve watched on your channel, yours are the clearest. Thank you.

Thanks Ashley! I'd love to see how you end up using either Notion or Airtable in your work!

Thank you so much! They are great tools - I’m excited to see how they (and how people use them) evolve!

I think you’re going to like it! Let me know how it goes
Thanks for the clarity of Notion and Airtable.
Most welcome!
The best video on this topic ive seen. Thank you.

You have high signal to noise in your videos - thank you for helping me become familiar with Airtable .
Thanks for watching, Peter!

Hard to say without knowing the specific use case, but it is definitely nice to have the database and the automation in the same tool!
Thank you for this video ❤
Welcome! Glad you liked it 😊
Is there something that one can do in notion, that cant be done in airtable?

No rush lol... but it's totally worth checking out at some point!
