Comment ça va Alicia? I love your lessons. Are you sure it is incorrect to say "Il/Elle mon ami"? Because I see that in google translate (not thinking that google translate knows more than you) it is fine to translate "He is my friend" to "Il est mon ami".

Well as i have said before Alicia is brilliant but it absolutely isn't easy to take in all the info about using c'est and il est. Who can possibly remember when to use them correctly? You don't.... it's just force of habit by speaking with people regularly
