They've aged really well. Sadly they're going to be removed from the route I use (Doncaster to Leeds on the east coast mainline) when the replacements arrive.
Do we have any idea what the final designs for Romford station will be? I can see they’re starting to do some work here but no idea how it will eventually look or when it will be finished. It would also be nice if the overground to Upminster went a little further to somewhere else like Rainham or even Dartford
They only have so many 7 car class 345s. The rest are 9 cars and can't be used here yet. However on the Paddington side they can now use the 9 car. So the some of the 7 car used on the Paddington side will be moved to the Liverpool Street side. Then the class 315 can be removed from service. Eventually all trains will be 9 car.
@@UHarshanBlackBoy1995 well that number is changing, As the carriages are being delivered twitter.com/ianvisits/status/1258070048104689670?s=19 How I think they will do it. They will have to use 7 car from Liverpool Street (High Level) So when crossrail tunnels open, they will close the Liverpool Street High Level platforms to lengthen them. In this time they can lengthen the 7 car trains to all be 9 car.
Something about the design of the 345s that I find very unappealing. Not sure exactly what it is they just don't look very nice. I wonder if these fleets of newer units will stand the test of time like the BR ones have? As basic and unrefined as they are, you have to admit the 321s have worn their 30+ years in service really well! Probably down to their simplicity and clean functionality.
Went on a 321 for the first time the other day, them things are bumpy as hell but I love these units
At least they're making good use of the class 345s since Crossrail seems to be as far away as ever.
My old local station thanks for uploading. I love the sound of the 321s and 345s sound cool too
Same here, proper old-school electric motor sounds.
its mad how the 321s are like old yet so youthful in appearence and functionality, they look well taken care of

soundseeker63 The new 345s, 700s, 717s, 800s etc are cheap plastic stuff. They won’t last 10 years
