I know this is SOOOO late, but I feel like most people miss that in the scene in the park where Butcher shoots Starlight, there are sirens almost immediately. Those were not in response to the shots, they were prepared already. Starlight wanted answers but she also was there to arrest Hughie because in her view that is the right thing to do, though perhaps showing she is still naïve as to the extent Vought would go to if Hughie ended up in custody.

Anthony Starr makes me love him as an actor so damn much because he was able to convey the kind of emotions that makes your skin crawl and your heart twisted. His character was so splendidly and cruelly written that he is right up there with the best characters such as Heath as the Joker or Peter as Tyrion..etc...

@@galarstar052 that's just because the news isn't going to make you hate on Amazon you know much money they pull in every year annually? Not to mention the tax loopholes. They pull this behavior all the time and it goes right over our heads the consumers. I mean they are a monopoly so you're always going to be going back no matter how much they mock you. Mispredictive programming works in real life I mean in this episode alone there was some dialogue that said "jamming illegal drugs into little kids arms" that's exactly what the FDA just approves for the vaccine for kids 5 and under. So it's very real and it goes on every day your whole world is a stage which is kind of why the show is funny to a lot of people. Some people realize it some people don't.
All major corporate industries follow the exact same criteria and playbook
The fucked up thing about it, and it ties in to the comics really well, is that Homelander has done so many terrible things that he can't keep track.

Can't believe none of them followed the A-Train dialogue. Just all caught up in the perspective story telling, "Hughie is a main character, therefore he's the good guy."
