You can't get caught up in names, one in English is different in Spanish, Latin, Greek, etc but it represents the same amount. So wen you're saying it's a bunch of different names, leave it at that instead of implying it's a bunch of different entities those names represents. The first problem most people make is assuming that for God to exist, he must be benevolent and act in a way we expect. Like they don’t accept that God can exist and just not act in a way we want/expect God to.

A month or so before my grandfather passed, he told me, "after they burry you, that's it." The day we buried him, I got home with tears in my eyes thinking about him. And CLEAR AS DAY I heard his voice, happy and free of pain, telling me he was OK. I never experienced anything like that. Also, when I visited Cairo, Egypt a few years back, I rode on the camel near the pyramids, and I had the absolute BEST feeling I ever had in my life. The only way I can describe it is by saying it was completely a Divine feeling. I CHOSE to believe God is real because I know He is.

Suffering was not God's intention for us, but thats the unfortunate result of OUR disobedience. A Fallen World filled with all the disease, famines, disasters, etc that affects ALL of us. I agree with Tyson in the sense that if there were real evidence of a god or gods existing then I'd be all for it. But until then I wouldn't say I'm a believer. This may be a slightly controversial thing to say, but I feel like religion is just a giant coping mechanism (and sometimes manipulative mechanism) that our species uses when we can't wrap our heads around something or when we can't take accountability for something. I have absolutely no issue with those who use it to genuinely become better people, but unfortunately thats not every person.
Religion is a coping mechanism. It is man-made. The Creator of all things. The I AM. He is not. He doesn't force anyone to believe in Him. Your choice, your free will.

I guess I believe in god because of my own experiences with unexplainable things.
My parents fought a lot and that anger seemed to be in the apartment where cabinets would slam shut by themselves,things getting thrown with noone around,shadows would run around at night in the hall and tug at my blanket by my feet.
Then one day my friends invited me over to play the ouija board and jokingly my friend asked laughing if he'd become rich and suddenly a teddy bear that was in the corner slid to the middle of the floor and stayed there. I ran faster than cheetahs hunting their prey,I believe I took 2 giant steps from upstairs to downstairs and I was at the bottom steps running outside from fear. We all saw what happened so it wasn't just one person making stuff up. That's when I knew there's something more to this life and yes there are some things added to the bible and interpreted wrong but most of it makes sense to what i've witnessed.
Kinda the same with me.. Evil is real. Demons and the devil is real.. everything has and opposite. If there is great evil the opposite of that is there is light and a greater good ..
The fact that you can't explain something is even more reason not to believe in a God without evidence, it's like creating a mystery with a bigger mystery. Just because you can't explain something or it doesn't make sense a unproven God doesn't solve anything.

I believe. I was over my step sisters house and she was throwing sulfur around the room and chanting. Later that night, her friends came over with cult book on rituals. When I looked in the room, their eyes were red and they were trying to move but couldn't. I attempted to go toward them but once I entered the room I became frozen. I said 3 words and immediately came too. I left and went downstairs and stayed there fornthe night.

I’m in the same boat I can’t say that I’m an atheist but I can’t say that I have 100% faith or belief in God either and I know everybody goes through tough times and I know there are people that are way worse off in life than I am, but the fact that there are people that don’t believe in god at all living their best lives and the people that believe are struggling to make ends meet don’t sit right with me at all
Energy cant be created or destroyed, so at a minimum there is a force that was present way beyond the big bang, and that force always existed. To me if you're objective and logical, it leads to a higher power .
