Kingdom Hearts Missing Link Coming To PC?

- Kingdom Hearts Missing Link is the newest entry into series, in Beta this week. It's also the latest edition into the mobile side of the games, with it seemingly having VERY important story information about the next saga and game, Kingdom Hearts 4. We've been down this Dark Road (lol) before with games like Union X and Unchained X. And some people are not happy about this continuing trend.
So, there's some hope that this game will come to other platforms like PC and consoles, so important story development will be available to all players. But, there are some hints towards this possibility, like the game having controller support and Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis also coming to PC soon. Will it happen though??? That's hard to figure out...

As a Steam Deck user, the odds of me actually playing this game will skyrocket if they port it to Steam.
Unfortunately if the game is ported to PC I think it will be through the Epic Games store considering every other KH game on PC is done through them?
Hope not and idk if the same rule applies to free to play as maybe they're is a whole different deal when it comes to free to play and as I recall the only free to play on epic is fall guys, rocket league, and Fortnite which I think is co-owned by epic so I'm not so sure but I might be forgetting other games
The only this is that a PC version would only be couch mode meaning you need to spend AP to do things. They haven't said what the AP recharge rate is, if any so you might not be able to play it by PC only. You would still need to go out and walk to generate AP. if they decide to alter that to make it for PC, they would have to make some alterations to make it more appealing for mobile players as well as compensate them for what PC has. Either way, i don't think its something they would implement this early thought, maybe after a year or two if the revenue stream is viable.
Might wanna invest in a steam deck then, if you don’t wanna only play at home
@@raisylvaine8398 Does the Steam Deck have GPS tracking? Last I checked, it didn't which is a necessary feature for the walking mode. Imo if they were to do it with PC they would have to have cross save with the mobile version. Its the only way it would make sense and not be an immediate hang up for players
In the beta right now there is no AP recharge. You can only get more AP from daily rewards, buying them through currency, or by walking around and clicking those green pieces
I don't think they'll releas it on PC or console, however google has their "google play games for PC" program in beta right now that lets you play some android games on PC. With some luck this will also allow us to play missing link on PC through that

Honestly this is a much harder pass for me than the handheld titles were in the past. At least with the Handheld title you got a Kingdom hearts like experience, with BBS and DDD being pretty much being like 1 and 2 in terms of gameplay and content, but these mobile games are way too watered down and monetized that I just can't see myself bothering with them, even if the story is compelling.
Maybe they can do a 3.5 collection and remake these games so they're more console oriented before 4 comes out, but this whole recent mobile game approach just seems out of touch with what the majority of the fanbase want, so I think a lot of people are going to drop off and probably not consider getting 4 when it comes out because they did this. Heck I'm kind of at that point myself because I wasn't super happy with how 3 wrapped up the whole Xehanort arc because it was too interested in teasing this arc.
At the very least if this comes to PC I hope they finally bring 1.5, 2.5, 2.8, 3 and MoM to Steam as I've been wanting them in my Steam library without having to deal with EGS.
Needs to come to ps5 if it came to ps5 ill play it leave it to square enix to put lore and story elements in a mobile phone game plus dont have enough space to get it anyways. Square seems to think that people in the west love mobile games but not everyone does love mobile games i know they are popular over there in japan but not so much in the west
My main issues from the beta so far:
Combat doesnt seem to have any strategy? It kinda just seems like you spam your characters and thats it, even raids looked very easy and simple.
The GPS fad is dead, many people do not want this anymore and seems like an excuse to get people to pay for AP with real money.
Excited to play the game tho, but i wont hesitate to drop it if its a gimmick.
I got early access and I'll say the combat actually isn't that bad. You can either just spam your characters but it will probably get you killed because of the limited MP, it actually plays a fair bit like KH3 but limited in scope, especially when you get harder enemies.
The only saving grace about the GPS part is that the AP is pretty leanient, you get a TON of it by just hitting enemies near you. I sat for around 30 mins and killed enemies near me and I got around 500AP. Its not too much of an issue.

Ikr. Im looking for PC support and any kind of skill expression or grounded/tight gameplay.
I'll just use Nox emulator to emulate a phone in my PC and play there lol, (It even has a system to "Walk around" without having to move, hope it doesn't consider it as illegal though lol).
I can easily play it in my phone too though, well, not easily, cause my phone lacks storage XD
I suppose it’ll be pretty easy to hook up a controller and cast it to your tv
i don't understand why SE does this, it's not like they'd have to give it really good graphics if it was on console aswell, fans have been content with the same PS2 style for decades at this point, and people literally didn't like the HD style in KH3 lol.

Not only is it a mobile game, it’s also a Gacha game just like the previous one. I already have enough Gacha games to work with! Though actually..maybe one more is fine to handle.

1. The astral plane *is* procedurally generated
2. The game is mostly playable without going outside thanks to the "pad mode" so the GPS mode isn't integral to the game

While it is playable without going outside, AP is pretty limited for now so if you want to play without going outside you need to basically pay money or only play for like half an hour a day.

Sorry if you misinterpreted what I said or I made a mistake. Let me clarify. By procedural generation, I mean creating a random map based on an algorithm not based on map data, which I’m pretty sure is what the non moving mode is still based on, just walking around the general area. I also thought earlier it could use Google Map data for a port.
I absolutely hate mobile gaming. The small screen gives me headaches and nausea and my device gets hot on some games after playing for more than 10 minutes. It's ridiculous that games like Kingdom Hearts Missing Link don't get some kind of PC port.
Why can’t they just put these on the switch? You can play it as a mobile game with the touch screen or grab a controller

I would love if square could port Kingdom Hearts 1.5, 2.5, 2.8 and 3 over to Steam. Epic Game store is horrible in installing time and Steam installing is much easier granted some games take longer to install cause of how much Storage it takes up but still steam is much better for KH Games plus I could play those games on steam deck
If the GPS stuff is required, I'm not even going to bother with this game. I stopped playing Pokémon Go within 2 weeks and never touched it or a similar game ever again. It just isn't fun to have location-based stuff when I live somewhere that has absolutely nothing around.

Doesn't the game have a GPS function? I'm pretty sure it does so it'd be like asking if Pokemon go is coming to steam. I know it has more traditional gameplay as well but I think we're just dreaming

@@raze2012_ from what I can tell, its automatic likening 7r. The button next to the attack button is for dodge rolling, not jumping like I initially thought

Man I don't fucking want Missing link. I want all the games that are already on PC to be released on a a store front I actually want to fucking use. I don't need more fucking games, especially not a mobile game that has story shit. Stop making story games on mobile that are fucking yeeted out the door after a few years. Stop this shit. Stop with the bullshit exclusivity on PC, where no one wants it. FFS, I want to be able to finally just own the whole damn series on PC, but I refuse to give money to Epic. So it's pirated on my PC.

DO NOT PLAY IT. The story bits usually take only a few hours to be posted on youtube by people like Everglow. Let's not do this biching and moaning phase AGAIN please, just ignore the game. Then binge watch the story when KH4 is about to be released.
