I have definitely been making my kindergartners sit still for too long 😳 this week I am going to try redirecting them to a different action rather than saying “stop doing this or that” or “we don’t do this or that in the music room”, etc. and incorporate as much movement as I can!!
How do you handle ese kids that can't focus or follow basic directions for anything? I had this one girl that constantly rolled on the floor and hid under her seat. She wouldnt listen or follow classroom rules. I wasnt allowed to write referrals because she was ese. Infact, last year half of my class was ese kids. It was very difficult and I honestly felt like quitting 😢
