    Compliments to Squier, this sounds great and scratches that unholy itch singers cannot deny!

    I have this guitar in Aztec gold. I love it more than my '91 les Paul studio, mainly because I'm not worried about dropping it, knocking it over or doing something that'll knock a few hundred to a couple grand from its value. Super nice guitar, especially once you put in better pots and a treble bleed

Well after I saw this thing I knew I was in line for another guitar 😂 played one at a local shop finally and the gold finish looks amazing, and the finish and playability is really great too!

    I love it and I want one! Definitely going on the GAS list!
    Every Tele should have the control panel flipped like that. I know... "Tradition". But Leo wasn't a player and I hate that @#$%ing tophat where it is. The volume needs to be where players can get to it quick and easy.

    It would be better with a strat pickup on a neck position. That would be the best of Fender type guitars. That guitars should be considered normal, I actually like this one and p90 paranormal strat very much.

    I have one in this same color and did massive upgrades to it.
    Fender Rosewood Tom Delonge Strat neck (fat 70’s headstock)
    Fender Pure Vintage 64 Telecaster pickups
    Fender Pure Vintage 59 middle Strat pickup
    Obsidianwire Nashville Tele Solderless Wiring Harness (keeps the push/ pull tone pot)
    All Fender hardware (tuners, string tree, neck plate, control plate, etc…)
    The only thing that still Squier is the body. I absolutely love it
    I’m about to replace the bridge, control plate, knobs and neck plate with Gotoh Luxury engraved hardware.

    • @johnbeddoe782
      @johnbeddoe782 8 месяцев назад

      Is there anything to consider in terms of polarity of the pickups you chose? Is the Strat Pickup reverse wound and the tele pickups " normal"? I was going to start with replacing the neck pickup. How are you finding the 64 tele/ 59 strat sounds? That obsidian wire harness seems cool

    • @kstaggs87
      @kstaggs87 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@johnbeddoe782 it actually sounds really good with that setup. I have no complaints. Unfortunately the Strat pickup isnt RW/RP since it’s more of a vintage style pickup but it really doesn’t seem to hum that bad in positions 2 and 4. I’m very happy with it.

    How does this compare to the Player Plus Nashville Tele? I’ve been wanting a comparison for so long bc they are the only two Nashville style guitars on the fender market and it would be dope to see how similar/different they are despite the price point!

    • @Braedon2011.
      @Braedon2011. 9 месяцев назад

      Just to add on to this… I have this nash Strat but have been eyeing the player plus Nash Tele since before I bought this. I have an opportunity to get a player plus series guitar but was wondering if it’s a better idea to get a real strat since I already have the tele pickups, or if the jump between this guitar and the nash tele are big enough to justify getting that one instead.

    • @thatotherdan9984
      @thatotherdan9984 8 месяцев назад +3

      Honestly you're better off just modding the guitar you already have, and buy a cheap Squier Strat and modding that too. The wood type really doesn't add as much to the guitar as the internals do. I own alot of guitars and if I switch my mods from one guitar to the next the difference is negligible. With the biggest tone differences coming from your amplifier setup and technique.
      We are in a golden age of guitars, mainly because the cheaper guitars are actually quite comparable to the more expensive ones, with the main difference being flair and a slightly better finish. Upgrade your pots, add a treble bleed, change the wiring for more higher grade, coat the internal cavity with copper tape, and change the pick ups, you could also change out the neck for one from fender USA or whatever.
      When you're done, you'll have a guitar so nice you'll play it twice (as often) and not have to freak out about someone touching your stupid expensive guitar and damaging it or it falling over. Since you can just get another cheap guitar and move your mods over.
      Edited spelling
