  • Brass thread thru static pole tumble combo... Inside leg hang swivel to brass monkey, brass sit to thread thru, dropping down to outside leg hang, mast head to one arm invert into a no handed jade and finishing with an elbow meathook.
    One of the many things that I love about pole is that there are soooo many variations and ways to get into and out of things. This translates to so many options for different body shapes, sizes, strength, flexibility, experience and so much more. Sometimes a move or one particular way of getting into a move doesn't work for a particular body type but with a few adjustments based on the polers strengths or weaknesses can make it equally possible and amazing. Different tricks and transitions look different on different bodies but that doesn't make them any less amazing or beautiful. These are some of the many reasons that I love teaching and sharing my love of pole with others. Helping polers unlock things that they once thought impossible and taking the guess work out of reaching their goals. As my body and brain are still recovering from my reconstructive ankle/foot surgery (and the down time and muscle loss that came with that) I've been reminded that it's equally important to direct the same patience and acceptance to myself that I extend to my students. I have almost unlimited patience with my students and yet find myself less tolerant of my own struggles, imperfections and current weaknesses. So let this be a gentle reminder to you all...be patient with yourself and celebrate your progress EVERY step of the way. Because, slow or fast, smooth or sometimes not so much, it is still amazing what you are capable of!
