The Bart Cham Dao or "Knives of 8 cuts" is an essential training method for the Wing Chun expert. It adds a layer of instant finishing techniques to the practitioner's skill set. The Bart Cham Dao techniques "cut through" the opponent using his own force against him in multiple angles and directions simultaneously. These techniques require good understanding of "sticky hands", "wrapping" and experience in dealing with non-compliant attackers.
