Question, how will you make changes to java code, you did not provide docker or docker compose file, how will these take place ie. Running and making changes to java code, docker.
If you want to change the java code then you need to build the new image with your updated code , you can use aws code pipeline to build your image and you can store it in ECR . Once the image is available with your latest code , use aws code deploy to deploy it to ECS . Quick & simple 😊

bhai docker sirf linux pe hi chalta hai , windows m bhi linux service start karni padti hai docker ko chalane k liye
docker can run on any platform but yes it uses linux to function (because its light weight)
