1. At least there is economic growth. Can it be more inclusive? For sure. Is it better than India being labelled as a 'fragile economy '? For sure. 2. Agree on GST streamlining. 3. Inflation is not at an all- time high by any means. Besides, it's relative to global trends. Turkey, Argentina, UK, Germany and our dear friend Pakistan have seen astronomical; inflation rates in the post-Covid era. We dodged a bullet by not printing Rupees en masse and distributing doles. 4. Middle-class stress is nothing new. Should income tax be abolished to ease this stress? For sure. Something to look forward to. 5. That said, welfare schemes for poor are being distributed directly to beneficiaries. This never happened before. Should more happen? For sure.
