Thanks Pam - Yes, Mum is improving gradually - We went for a check-up today - They said her cornea needs more time to heal. We have another check up in 4 weeks time 👍👍👍
Just watched your video over morning coffee here on Vancouver Island. Hope everything works out fine for your Mum. Joyce had her left eye done a month ago and is having her right eye done in Feb. What a difference it makes and not painful. Only down side was that she had to have drops in the eye 4 times a day for 28 days. I had both mine done 4 years ago and after wearing glasses for 66 years I can now drive without glasses. Brilliant. Say hi to your Mum from here across the pond. Frank & Joyce Leach

She says she went to Vancouver in 1992/93 :) Very nice it was too - Of course, with her being 88, her cataract was extremely advanced - So we have to wait about 4 weeks before its around the same as 'The Next Day' for regular cataracts - But all good though, at least shes had it done - Cheers 👍👍👍
Hope your mums eye op went well .I had both mine done a few years ago it is wonderful you don’t realise how bad your sight was till you have the op. It was lovely to see steam train and people out walking stopped to see it to ❤ love your vids we visited most years .

But slowly slowly... And her quality of life will improve, so all good 👍👍👍

Hi Bill. Welcome to my home town.The road just after where you bought the Phat burger is where i work. What a small world eh. You should of turned right instead of left when you came out from the industrial estate as only a short walk away is Warmley station which is a converted railway station. It serves great food & drink & lies on the old railway to Bristol. It's now a well used cycle track. 😊😊
Hi Martin - Yes, small world indeed! I didn’t really scope out too much of the surrounding area - TBH, I was quite concerned for Mum & just wanted to get her out and get her back... But if we ever have to return to the Bristol location, I'll definitely look into going and seeing the station - Many thanks 👍👍👍

Hi Bill, you didn't really need to funeral hearse that day lol. Mind you, I'm not really surprised seeing as the Co-op Funeralcare has two units there according to the sign. It was good that your son could still take you after the original date was cancelled. Great back up content with Black 5 but strange that at that point Rufus wasn't even a feature. Hope mum's recovery is going OK. I remember you saying last year that the then and nows would end, I just didn't know when. See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍
Cheers Rob - Yes, its all gone OK, but its going to take her a lot longer to recover than it should - We are looking at 4 more weeks (I found this out today) to get to the stage where a regular person would be, the net day after surgery - But its OK. At least things are moving in the right direction - Albeit somewhat slower than we may have liked... 👍👍👍
Good luck bills mum. They are good people bill at spa medica. Why bristol and not exeter. Even the one in exeter has nothing there bill the airport is very poor. I would recommend a packed lunch and a flask
Because she had a very large and complex cataract to remove - So she went to see the head surgeon, who is based at Bristol. We just had a follow up - Today actually, but that was at Exeter 👍👍👍
Not quite the family outing that we wish for, even with a hearse 😮😮. Hope the drive home went well, after my eye op the drive home made me car sick 🤮. Good luck with the after op care, eye drops, eye drops and more dam eye drops 😂.
